The fact that he can huck that high for that long on that bike is impressive. I had a mirra frame and they were tanks. Came here for Miron though. Guy is a monster.
I was deeply saddened the day Dave Mirra passed away (Feb 4, 2016). He was a great BMX biker and I enjoyed playing his PS1 game as a child. Gone but never forgotten.
I am an old school bmxer. I still have my bmx from 11 years ago. It weighs 38 lbs but to me that seems fine. Kids these days complain about anything over 26 lbs or so.
***** same here dude. I had a Mirra 540 which weighed 38lbs. Was so heavy! Rode it better than I do on my Grim Reaper. Harold knee saver bars. I could actually ride better on a heavy bike. Bunny hopped over a tennis court net on it! Serious weight!
When Mirra would throw the bar and catch it with one hand and do that little tweak move. People claim he was just a trick guy but he had serious yet subtle style too.
Man the progression of bmx when i first started riding till now is awesome. Back in the day these two were up there in my top ten best riders. Jay miron was more dirt than halfpipe. Dave mirra just rips on vert. These were the best days being young and watching x games. And riding my local park with my bmx buddies. How time flys.....rest in peace dave. You were an inspiration to me and my mates. I'll never forget those days and how i felt riding bmx...such good times..
My buddy rode in the first few Xgames and I went out with him, Jay Miron, and some others in the late 90's. Miron duct taped 40's of beer to both of his hands the entire night. Haha never seen anything like it in my life. At the time he could drink like a champ
Watching Jay and Dave back in the day was epic. Then Jamie Bestwick came onto the scene and Dave really had to crank it up and he did. R.I.P Dear fellow. We miss you 🥰😘🤗
I was always a Miron fan (Canadian)..... but when Dave came out I was like: Shit... at least Canada placed second! RIP Dave, always an inspiration to me.
back then, nobody went as high and smooth as Dave. Even those corkscrew flairs, he was actually gaining speed he was landing them so high. Miss him so much. Miron was a beast but, so good to see him killing it now making custom furniture
I use to ride a Haro back when I was a kid , I had 5 of them FSX, SPORT , 1989 TEAM MASTER W/BASH GUARD , AIR MASTER W/BASH GUARD & MASTER W/FLAT BOTTOM BASH GUARD . Haro use to sponcer the best of the best to ride for them & im proud to say Dave rode a Haro most of his life intill he started his own bike company ....RIP DAVE YOU ARE SADDLY MISSED
@@jtm232556 Hell I did it all , flatland , vert , street , dirt . It was all fun & game even if someone got hurt , days of futures past , great times .
no one rode like dave. he assaulted the ramps. I dont think anyone hucks as many tricks in a run as he did, he tricked everytime he went up the ramp here, except maybe 3. that's rare still today
How did he die? I cant believe i didnt hear about it. Also to the canadian beast miron was always the man doing what he did with the injuries he had while doing his crazy fan pleasing tricks in every different categories of competitions was just one of things that made him so unique. Dave mirra just did the same runs over again and again flair to grind to flair, he was good but he was no miron.
Little One? flair , flair opposite, doublebar, bar to one Hand (regular and opposite). Bar to Suicide no Hand, CanCan Tailwhip...........IcePick, Manual, Hang Up Little One?
+Roberto Corrêa word mate.... the good old days, real BMX legends ! Bestwick was nowhere to be seen man... by the way, he's a good rider, that's all... he's just a follower, always has...always will, I saw HOFMAN enough said
