I mean his impressions are all he has, at least comedically... I mean I loved him on SNL, but as stand up comic(1 year in and fucking terrible at it, so I'm not hating) I have watched hundreds of hours of stand up comedy and Jay really can't write jokes very well... He completely relies on his impressions, which are absolutely amazing and so incredibly impressive, but if we're being completely honest it's not really worth of Fame, at least in my opinion. (which isn't worth a monkey fart) Have you heard if Michael Winslow? He is hands down the best impressionist to ever live, not just voices but the sounds he can make with his face,and throwing his voice blows my mind... But he was the same thing, the shit he was saying wasn't great jokes, but he's impressions were so amazing, the lack of a true joke was overlooked completely... And again I'm not hating at all both Jay Pharoah, and Michael Winslow have incredible talent, and I fully support them and watch all they shit, I just feel some type of way about comedians with gimmicks like impressions, of puppets like Jeff Dunham, or props like Carrot Top, or even comedians that use music in the stand up ... I mean I thoroughly enjoy and respect the comedians that use those mediums but in my opinion (which again isn't worth a 45th US President) it's kinda cheating... But at the same time what they're doing is comedic so they are comedians but the gimmick or props are what separate them as "comedians" instead of "comics"... Also I'm sorry to do that to you, you didn't ask for that long ass response, but this herb I just got has me stuck as fuck ...
