Tommy becomes one of the best at everything then moves on lol one of the best hackers then lets Lana shine at it, becomes one of the best racers, beats probably 1 or 2 best racers in the city in Goofy then leaves the racing scene, its crazy how good he would have been if his life didn't get so busy. Would have been a good racing scene with him, Goofy and Arnie ect

He also does enjoy when others get good at something, he was gassed for Lana and gassed when Jay and Matt were overtaking him during racing. Josh loves when others either prove themselves or improve at something which is great to see

okay this might be a very long reach, but i think Josh enjoyed the challenge in improving, like racing with the best while being fairly new to the scene, or hacking all the banks in order. Once he becomes the best in a specific thing ig he loses the challenge as he’s on top/near the top. Maybe that’s why he slows down and let’s people catch up, so he has people to compete with. that’s just a very far fetched take

This skipped an important exchange that Tommy had with Moses about hosting locals only racers for beginners. That was the beginning of a great arc where he gained massive notoriety as a racer.
