I discovered Jay probably like 4 months before he died. It was a huge shock. As someone who grew up in the 90s though I got used to having my favorite musicians suddenly die (Cobain, Nowell, etc.)
I caught him at the Gaelic club Sydney show during this tour. I’m glad I did, but it wasn’t a comfortable watch. He seemed uneasy and agitated. I wish him peace.
Had been a fan a year or so. Then saw him/the band in Dublin in Dec' 09 a few months before the end. I thought I was seeing the start of something. Gig was great but weirdly subdued, midday/early day of the week, Whelans in Dublin
@hautehead using modern homo internet laughter while using old washed up kook "it's older so it's automatically better" logic. You are the scum of the earth
Not trying to be a dick or anything, but I think if Evan Peters put on a few pounds and grew out his hair/put on a wig or whatever, he’d be a great pick to play Jay in a biopic if ever a thing was created. Also, Stephen Pope🥵
