@jane Beatty if Jay and woijchech hadn’t been at the house that night Sharon would still be alive . It was their drug dealing exploits that gave Tex Watson and the girls the idea to go and rob them of drugs . This was confirmed by Sharon’s father Colonel Paul Tate when talking to Lieutenant Earl Deemer in which he says “ Jay Sebring was known as the candyman “ , also polanskis producer Gene Gutowski , Dennis Hopper , Ferdinand mayne etc were adamant about it .

My Dad met Sharon Tate and Roman Polanski in Italy. He was on a double date with a friend of Sharons he met while stationed over there. He said Sharon was really nice and down to earth. Roman was quiet and acted like he wanted to be elsewhere. They went dancing afterwards and Roman just up n vanished for a time, so my Dad danced with Sharon for a couple songs. He had a good time. He also met Harry Morgan (MASH and Dragnet) too a few weeks later. The woman he dated knew a lot of famous people.

Hello, I recently saw a documentary made by Jay Sebring's nephew titled, "Jay Sebring....Cutting to the Truth." Excellent documentary and look into Jay's life. There was a part in the documentary where a lawyer and friend of Jay's stated that Sharon Tate was in the process of seeking a divorce from Roman Polanski (while he was in Europe at the time) and the lawyer even said that the papers had been drawn-up. He believed that Jay and Sharon were planning to get back together again. Can you verify if this is true or not? I found this bit of information to be very interesting. I really enjoyed watching your video about Jay Sebring. Thank you for presenting this very important video about Jay. What a tragedy this was in 1969. I live a few towns over from where Jay grew up. I looked on Google maps to see what area of Detroit he lived in. It's on the west side, which is now an area with a lot of Mexican/ Hispanic people, with a long strip of Mexican/ Latino restaurants & businesses on the main road. During Jay's childhood, this area was beautiful, with a huge park, public pool and a Boys Club Athletic Center. It's not too far from the quieter suburbs. Unfortunately there was white flight in the 60's and 70's and a lot of houses were left empty and fell apart. The city has demolished most of them, that's why you see a lot of empty lots driving down his block.

Just an added note Scott, there was a another victim the night that Sharon Tate and her friends also with Jay Sebring who was killed , shot to death in his car by Tex Watson , his name was Steven Parent; so often forgotten. He was the grounds keeper , worked for Roman , he was going to school at the time of his death I believe he was 19-20. When the group was walking up to the house where Sharon lived Steven was just leaving , up came Tex Watson close to his car and Steven knew this was a bad scene , begged for his life ( he could see the gun Tex was carrying) but no they had to kill him to leave no one to I D the group, Tex shot him 5-6 times -the poor boy was shot to death but I understand how his death , pulling out of Sharon driveway would go unnoticed. RIP Steven just a kid working a job for the Polanskys for extra money to attend school all of this a horrific tradgey RIP

This was a great video Scott, thanks. Btw, the new Jay Sebring documentary made by his nephew is a MUST see. It's amazing. It's available free on youtube (with ads) right now. Scott can you give some additional commentary and/or a new video about the revelation in the new doc that Sharon was filing for divorce from Roman shortly before her death? No proof was provided but why would that elderly lawyer lie? What does he have to gain? I've always been baffled by Sharon being with Roman so I'd be glad if some proof surfaced that Sharon was planning to end it and reunite with Jay.

They would put it on black person or Hispanic. Polanski should ben someone of intrested. He did fail a polygraph and at some point by advice of his attorney stopped speaking to police. How the hell did detective not consider him a person of interest . then many people recall him as showing no emotion and pretty acted like he cared less if Tate was killed. Does anybody else think the tate murder to open n shut .idk bout evryone but reading the book n listen to interviews .i draw to conclusions. Polanski was weird person n along with I think he has part in this murder. It was true his marriage was on the rocks. N rumors were he was seeing someone else. This was not his first time he was accused by Tate . all this was overlooked. I mean it was true the police would probably arrested a black person or Hispanic. Had they not recived that info from jail house snitch n not mention a lot today's investigators would considered Patricia kernwinkel a unreliable source. All those girls were so drugged n out there minds.

I also have a post marked envelope of a letter I had written to my Gran Aug. 09 1969 with a moon landing stamp, and I found it after I'd wondered what I'd been doing about that time a few years back.
