It’s funny you mentioned post-mortem care. To some it may seem weird or gross. As a nurse, it’s the last act of compassion, care and kindness I can give this person as they leave my care. 💕
I can't help but be amazed by Jay Shetty's wisdom. He's like the father I never had. He will be passing a great legacy & he will be remembered for ages.
This makes perfect sense ! Now in my early 50's I have found my passion and have started training to be a professional counsellor. I only found this through compassion, through extreme trauma that I had experienced.
That experiment with the hospital cleaners reminded me of my experience of being a Gym Janitor in multiple locations (w/ Front Desk). I was probably the happiest gym janitor there because I was literally in a healthy environment where people were coming to better themselves and I enjoyed the fact that I could support that. And I made the choice that if I was to do janitorial work it would be at a gym for that reason. Not my purpose or passion at all (I’m a 3-Headed Artist and Digital Advertiser), but it definitely made my work more enjoyable. It’s actually when I first listened to Tom in 2017 via podcast while cleaning!
“If you are distressed by anything external, the pain is not due to the thing itself, but to your estimate of it; and this you have the power to revoke at any moment.” ― Marcus Aurelius
Brooklynn52 Dee I love his messages too but some of the messages are not his (from other people, but falsely made out to be his.) So I guess I love his and other people’s messages lol.
@@a.m.7286 Thanks for that! I had no idea. This is the first time I have ever listened to him. I guess I love his and other people's messages too then!! Lol!
I really love how Jay spoke about Tom at the end. The amazing content he & his team put out is absolutely life changing & inspirational & it's rare to hear them get any credit. So thanks Tom. Thanks IT crew. I love & appreciate you guys so much ♥
So....perhaps Jay heard it from Swift and liked it enough to repeat...So? Or maybe she heard it from him. Maybe both of them heard it or read it from someone else. And, so...?
Jay is a hustler, not a monk. He built his brand by riding the Facebook algorithm when it was easy to get massive exposure from catchy 'viral' type content. He steals other people's ideas and quotes and passes them off as his own. He is either delusional or dishonest, he does not practice what he preaches because it's clear through his actions he is in this for the money and fame. He is very much driven by his ego, contrary to what he says. In summary, he is full of shit.
mol pbr yup I’ve seen it as well. I’m very disappointed in Tom. Makes me question the credentials of everyone who he has had on. It’s a complete disservice to his other guests.
After this amazing interview, I can say, with my hand on my heart, that I am exactly where I need to be. Loved this episode, back in the studio. Looking forward to more. Be well Tom and Impact Theory Team.
@@brenomatheus1802 Lol ! Really? That his social media team or himself shared a few quotes of others without giving credit he becomes a scam artist? Foundation of your entire Western education - numericals, algebra, trigonometry, etc stolen from India in 15th century by European Jesuits without giving any credit.
I listened to this interview and... Well, Jay has a big mouth and he creates a living out it. He tells many platitudes and many well-known things. You won't learn anything new from him. Mr. Bilyeu, please keep the standards high. Don't bring people who have nothing to say but a book to sell. Thanks in advance!
Tom, bringing this fake guru back to your channel sheds light on who you are as a person. Honestly, you are better than this. Yes, jay draws in a (gullible) crowd, but is that the crowd you really want following you?
What is the authority or level of knowing everything within you makes u feel that way!? He is consistent in what he is doing, he loves wat he does else it won't be consistent and more followers won't happen, I think u hate him because u have hatred within and perception of guru with a limited beliefs.... Grow up if u don't like u can move on and nobody is forcing things within you, also u have individuality to express ur opinion but kindly be responsible for ur choices is that the kind of words you want share to the world in the comment section in the name of dislike or hatred while u can walk away from him and give way for others to hear him with open mind why u spreading negativity bro...
@Abdel-Ilah BENAHMED yes true indeed but somebody who has given a platform to preach people should follow his preaching. Then wats the importance if he can't himself follow .
Full of bull! Dharma defined as purpose is just this guy making a hook to sell you stuff... Tells you what you want to hear, and you happilly buy... Exploiting his etnicity to sell you his own invented definitions of sanskrit words.
Jay this was a phenomenal interview and without listening to the end of the interview I purchased the book. In addition a wonderful tribute to Tom by Jay at the end - absolutely amazing!!! In a time of severe depression, anxiety and identity crisis this was exactly what I needed - THANK YOU!!
We are lucky that we have Tom as an interviewer. I have only been recently viewing your vids, but am always so happy to see in every case you have read the book/followed the person/have a deep understanding of the person and their beliefs, which both makes your questions insightful and directive, but also ensures we the viewer get a deeper and perhaps more accurate summation of the person/book/ideoogy that the vids is about. So thanks Tom for being you.
Best Moment for me 50:15 Start your day with a quote that u love, a picture u love, a piece of work that inspires you, first thing u see make it so close and connected to your purpose Jay top quotes: I am not my body, I am exactly where I need to be . Good Moments 04:40 Step 1: What are you curious about? Go take a course on that. Then you are closer to finding your passion(s) 28:15 The answer is service. Whatever you have going on, service is the answer. 37:00 circle of love/ circle of hate
Happy to know Jay Shetty has recognised Sindhu Taai Sapkal's Work. Her story is really an inspiration for many people who are pinned down by their relatives, friends and families. I am from Pune, India and Sindhu Taai Sapkal has her Orphanage in Pune. I have done service in that orphanage.
I really love the genuine praise Jay gives to Tom for the effort he puts into every interview. It really shows but the fact that Jay takes the time to explicitly share this with us shows how much he appreciates the effort. I remember a quote from Tom that he made in his last interview with Jay, stating: "I love giving compliments when I think they are true, but more importantly, I want to compliment the things I want to reinforce in somebody." What is this gesture from Jay, if it's not reinforcing Tom effort!
Would you expect that every word or concept uttered by an 'expert' on a subject has to be novel to them?...unique to that person, only, otherwise they are somehow phony, scripted, or a plagiarist? We are all plaigirists, when you think about it. The thing that makes any 'guru' special and unique - someone we'd like to follow - is that they have a passion about the subject they've decided is their 'thing', their purpose. They are in love with the subject they are talking about and it renders them charismatic.
Jay Shetty is a well known content thief and proofs that he was a monk are yet to be provided. I'm surprised that he is still invited in this show. Please check out D'Angello Wallace video about him if you are interested in the matter.
@@ingunchristensen9175 He posted some 5-6 quotes of someone else without giving credit. But he was a monk in ISKCON Mumbai Ashrama. He worked in hospital run by Radhanath Swami in Mumbai. These people watch one RU-vid video by a right wing Trump supporter & believe that he wasn't a monk. Also a content thief or scam artist wouldn't break down all philosophies in detail in a live interview like he is doing here.
Hmm so all his insight from all his interviews are from memory and not at all his authentic thoughts and feelings? If that were the case that'd be impressive as hell, but likely he actually does practice mindfulness and has some very valuable insight and intentions.
I get why people say Jay Shetty regurgitates other peoples words and speaks them as his own. But I also understand that he has been studying the mind and words of others so deeply, its become ingrained in his speech. It would be impossible for someone like him to speak the words he does if he had to constantly cite another's teachings. Anywhoo, These two are great. They have in their own ways passed on so much knowledge that I naturally use daily!
Really happy to have you back Tom Bilyeu, best wishes for the rest of the year, your content has transformed my life, especially your notion of "skills have utility".
He preaches meaning is service to others, all I see is an egotist who wants admiration and book sales. He's like someone videoing themself giving to the needy. Does he look like a monk to you? Also, coming to know yourself by asking others what they think your qualities are, is the same as asking "who should I be?". Maybe impressionable people go for that, but personally I don't need anyones opinion.
You're great, Tom. I like your wife's content too. But why are you associating with known plagiarists like Shetty and scammers like Lok???? It's making you lose credibility.
Thanks Tom and Jay. I have started listening to the audio book. Very useful advice to move from Monkey Mind Set to Monk Mind Set. Thank you Tom and Lisa for your work.❤️🙏selfhelpchampion
Yes, great to hear this. Just receive email alert the hard cover book has arrived... so excited. THANK YOU Impact Theory, Thank Mr Jay Shetty. Love, peace & service to you both! xo
Thank you for this!! I just got out of a deep conversation with a good friend about the struggle of ”finding my passion” and I searched for Jay Shetty for some reason... Picked this video randomly and BOOM explained everything so well and I was open to hear the message.. Thank you!
"The real test is not whether you avoid this failure, because you won't. It's whether you let it harden or shame you into inaction, or whether you learn from it; whether you choose to persevere."
Amazing interview and information! So many things were explained that helped me put more clarity to messages I often share. This was EVERYTHING!!! I feel blessed!I’m heading over to Audible NOW!!!!
One mistake and people who don't have life want to keep remembering his mistake and spend time to comment that, I am fascinated by his growth that makes u disturbed... Get a life folks, he made a mistake to show he is human and still he has a heart to serve with wat he knows... He is giving credits these days without dispute and learn that good quality he is expressing from his mistake...
6:29 I've worked at McDonald's for 3,5years and I have always wanted to become something, idk, sicnificant, something to be proud of. I just really wanted to do something with my life that felt amazing. So I quit at McDonald's and tried 2 jobs and went to school again. I didn't like anything I did and I realized I was happy at McDonald's so I went back there. And it might sound weird, but I guess that "flippin" burgers is actually satisfying to me.
My invisible man is doing a lot for me. I want to meet him to thank him.,and tell him how much. I love him, but for some reason it looks like that it's not possible.!!!! I don't know why???? Just to clarify my love is unconditional true love, which means that iam not excepting my invisible man to love me the same way that I love him.. I reapect the choice of poeple Respect is one of my greatest expression of love ❤️
Fuck Yes! From several different interviews from this channel is why I'm still walking is why I'm still trying is why I'm still holding on so I can help as many people including myself as possible thank you thank you!
This was great, love these guys. Had a bit of a cringe moment when Tom likened his white world experience to “the real world” but aside from that 10/10.
wow so insightful & help you shift your perceptions, its like surfing you don’t always know whats coming next but you can learn to surf the waves and correct your direction as you go,i think alot of us think we have to do things perfectly and get everyones Approval all the time,to know exactly what to do in every given moment when in reality the true pioneers of our time failed Cataclysmically but went on to become truly recognised and transformed etc can anyone relate? peeeace😬
1:17 how to think like a monk. 3:18 How to find passion and purpose. 17:28 focus on your strengths and not on your weaknesses 37:32 "circle of love" 55:20 be in the present moment
@33:30 " it doesn't mean that I don't get upset"... When family members know that I meditate and they tell me why do you get upset? Don't you meditate? I'm glad is not just me. I also take a shower everyday and I still get dirty.
I am good, try not to think of me as broken or weak. meek is not weak even though it sounds like it, there is way more to me, I perceive all that has happened to get here . I am invincible and thank goodness for auto spell (even on auto spell). I had what I thought was mental illness ( with good reason to think that) but it was a path. I reached the end of that path and there was more . empty your pain lockers, say it out loud to anyone around you and do the same for them empty all , no one else just them trust. forgive yourselves, you didn't start the fire. Empty your cup and we can fill it with knowing.
I love the dinamic you both share. The energy shines through! Thank you for making me aware of my monkey mindset :) Jay almost made me cry with his heartfelt words! You both deserve the praise!
Why do you continue to invite him to your shows when you know that he steals content from others?? I'm so disappointed with this and am unsubscribing immediately.
I wish i could open the impact theory on my page in my native language I feel like people who doesn't have access to English are missing a lot.Give me your permission Tom
Certainly a very convincing speaker, too bad he chooses not to credit others for their efforts because he really does not need that. Hopefully, he will learn and make changes.
