This is a case of misadventure, nothing more. The lad has gone out for the festival, done a load of gear over the weekend and gone off for an afterparty and when he's left that place thinking he could walk back to his hotel he's got lost, gone off-road and has either had a fall or has succumbed to dehydration and the heat. I've lived and worked in the Canary Islands for years and bought my fair share of gear over there and never once from a British teenager on a 'fly-in fly-out' weekend shift knocking out pills for 5 - 25 grand a month. The Moroccans are involved in the drug game but they tend to sell it themselves, not use young kids from the UK but in Tenerife there are the Russians and Lebanese and Dutch gangs and the Hells Angels as well. Typically though, party prescriptions are served up by the touts that try and get you in bars or ticket sellers as these have the cover of their job which involves stopping and talking to tourists, same with looky looky men. I've never heard of youths coming over to sell gear for the weekend, it doesn't make sense. The simplest answers are usually the right one and in this case I believe he's off his nut, tried walking home thinking it'd be easy and then come a cropper. The reason they haven't found his body yet is because it's a big area and rough terrain, loads of gulleys valleys to fall in to. That TV doctor, Michael Mosely, disappeared on a tiny greek Island a few weeks ago and it took 4 days to find his body.

I am a ex RAF Regiment gunner No2sqn and the only reason I mentioned it is I had a map of that area and I still got lost, it's a strange place, compass is unreliable there, which I didn't know, but I luckily was prepared but it took me days to find my way

I think Billy is trying to express to youngsters that crime doesn’t pay , and sometimes in life there are people that will invite them to an easy life , and like most it ends up in prison or in this case worse . If the kid was up to something or not , something as happened to him for sure .

Yeah I’ve watch some really good RU-vid videos about missing fit young hikes and runners to going missing from the islands over there and to never be found again. They never gave much coverage but this channel I watch was really well put together.

It just doesn’t add up Billy. That Lucy seems to have reported him missing immediately after getting off the phone to him. Why? Why didn’t he get a drink from this house? Why did he get in a car with two blokes twice his age? Why did he walk in the wrong direction? If Lucy reported him missing at 8.30am why did the police go round to his mums at 2.30am to tell her to go to Tenerife so that’s an 18 hour delay in his mum hearing anything about him being missing (there is no time difference between the uk and Tenerife) If he’d fallen down a cliff or off the main road I reckon he’d have been found by now. The only way he’s still alive is if he’s run off on purpose and has people helping him. If he’s been kidnapped then he’s dead because with all the social media interest he’s a hot potato.
Apparently, the two lads who he went back with to their rental villa had offered him a lift back to his accommodation, but then they discovered he'd stolen a watch from the villa, so basically told him to get out and to get the bus back. So that's why he couldn't go back there for water or to charge his phone.

A first hand eyewitness has seen him walking into the mountain range after shes driven by him further up the road after he’s asked her when the next bus is in Masca. His phone has then pinged further up the same road. He’s dehydrated already, likely still high on drugs. The conspiracies of being mixed up in anything are extremely unlikely when compared to the likelihood he has got disorientated and/or passed out somewhere remote and succumbed to exposure.
