@@head_bussa He became the first rapper to become billionaire, so he’s definitely doing well. Suggesting that he lost every beef is laughable considering how no one talks about Nas, Cam’ron, Jim Jones or Mase anymore.
"I take beef to the grave that's how my momma raised me she told me, fight in your afterlife, never revamp your stories, so heaven and hell niggaz better have some answers for me"
I actually like the concept of this track... being a Pac fan... But if you hip-hop heads think Pac wouldn't have came back ten times harder... you're crazy... Against All Odds kills this alone... Hit Em Up is dope but not lyrical like Against All Odds
Man these cats aint ever touch nothin, they spend too much of they time gossipin you know. -Jay. Ain't nobody fear a fake ass thug, how you get shot and and don't do shit? Oh wait he did, he gossiped on records.
@@jamescummings6703 lol riding gay z dick.nobody was scared of gay z.talking shit after pac gone fucking punk move straight bitch move that's a scared snake ass gay z for you.TAKE CARE✌️
This was released when pac was alive lmao, and it's just a warning. Jay wanted to diss back but he knew Big wasn't for all that, y'all act like you haven't heard takeover, and then tell me jay can't make a diss track, I KNOW HE LOST TO ETHER NAS IS A GOD YES, but that don't mean takeover was trash, that's one of the top diss tracks of all time, mind you even better than Hit Em Up. If jay wanted too he could give pac a run for his money, but I dont like saying either him or pac would win, YALL just gotta learn to respect pac' death, and Jay Z as an artist, and move on ..
@Russiawarrior ! how then. Mfking people were scared to diss pac when he lived like this pos. People only know hit em up or against all odds. Pac has enough diss songs you probobly don't even know about. War gamez, catching feelings, watch your mouth, all out (og), friendz(og), when we ride on our enemies, ny 87, why you turning on me, bomb first, lil homies and toss it up. biggie only got like one longkiss goodnight which he made when pac died. Same goes for jay z with this song. All mfking pussy's
@Russiawarrior ! stfu like you know all those songs. Just fuck off with your hating ass. Drop a gem on em was maybe the only good diss track made against him. The rest was made after he died so shut tf up.
@@zymeerwhitman2136 it's my era too, 97. Musically those eras are better. The classics you like in the 90s, 2000s were sampled from other classics. Always do the knowledge to everything before you.
Jay z still performed this song after tupac died because the tupac album that got released after his death contained multiple Jay Z disses. So Jay Z retalliated. Hence the name lol
Pac called it when he said ninjas talk shit but that's after I'm gone cause they fear me in the physical form. Pac called out all those clowns by name. Win lose or draw you got to respect that. Straight to their face no subliminal. In their prime with they whole crew. Respect.
Yeah not really. Nobody had time to respond while he was alive. He died too soon, most of the disses were written while he was alive. It takes nothing to call out a name and say fuck you, if you're impressed by that then your standards for Hip Hop disses is low.
James Cummings How much time you need to put a track out? Pac diss them clowns for years. Lol. So in the years he was alive you don't have time but months after he dead you dropping disses. That's weak.
I prefer a subliminal diss. I hate when rappers scream the person they're dissings name 80 times in a song. It takes no talent, craft or imagination to scream fuck this rapper 80 times and say you're going to kill them knowing damn well if you see them niggas in an alley you trying to dap and say it's just music.
@@simbadshabaz4943 Hip Hop is an art form, not a street corner argument. If you spit 16 bars and 5 are fuck you, 8 is the name of the person your dissing doesn't take talent. Especially since Tupac talked all that imaginary shit, everybody he dissed on Hit Em Up and Against all Odss, face to face, one on one he would have wanted to dap up and say it's just music. Ya'll niggas kill me acting like Pac was supernigga, he was an entertainer that learned how to be a thug from movie role.
Makaveli ThaDon biggie shitted on him tho. And long kiss goodnight was edited since pac died so he changed some lyrics. He was gonna release a track going at pac. He been made a comeback but you pac fans are like nah biggie scared or some shit. Biggie was way better than pac and even pac knew that.
@@Unknown-ds8kg Calm the fuck down Tupac had multiple albums unreleased when he died and its been said that there are still plenty of unreleased songs. Biggie might have been the more technical rapper but thats not everything Tupac made you feel his tracks. Overall as an artist Tupac is better thats why his influence goes all over the world.
Unknown 101010101010101010101001101010101010010101 biggie was copying pac and screaming thug life with pac way before the 1994 shooting happened. He was pac’s bitch. Makaveli the don. No, Hip Hop fans in general have a acceptable dislike for this trash that's called a diss.If this is a diss, then this isn't even better than Supa Ugly in terms of Jay Z.This is trash my nigga........
Can't respect it. 2 pac and Biggie's death was the best thing to happen for jay z. Sad but true. " a bunch of publishing should go to ms Wallace" camron
@@RealGMane Biggie's death was a very good thing to Jay Z, Jay literally started to became famous, mainstream and started to do pop-ish songs thanks to Biggie's death in 1997. If Biggie didn't die and he was alive to this day, Jay still would've be one of the most famous rappers in the world regardless, but wouldn't be that famous as he is today.
Damn, if this is a diss, this is about the most weak-ass diss you can write. There's maybe two or three lines in the whole track that *could* be a reference to Pac, and they're soft lines. Dissing Pac after he passed is a bitch move and I think Jay-Z knew this. Therefore, he made this watered-down shit so as to not offend the Pac fans too much, making this probably the most half-hearted diss track I've ever heard.
@@stevebrizzle probably wanted to get a few sneak disses in to get the last laugh and the subtle disses are probably because he didn’t want anyone to notice, that’s what I’d assume
I like them both. I think that if people were not so proud, they would have left in history great collaborations. Jay, Pac and Big would be a masterpiece
This ain't the song Clark Kent was talking about fool. The song Clark Kent is talking about we will never hear.It was performed once at the Apolla only that audience heard it

Batter Wottle that’s called beef. Everybody needs to know who won and lost. In this case it’s Jay-Z. Jay-Z lost to a dead man. He made a huge mistake by going on to Brooklyn’s finest w biggie what made the beef go on. Then hit em up came Jay-Z was included to the beef. Then Jay-Z made a couple disstracks and 2pac too Against all odds and BOMB first came. Then this Disstrack came w some other ones. Tupac was unable to reply but still made a illusion that he could “reply”. Then the beef was over Jay lost and made fun of Tupac’s death but then later showed respect like a real man would. The story ends by here.
James Cummings depends on lyrics not curse words. Like your profile says you defending east. And tupac had multiple diss songs on jay z and you didn’t mention that no. Nas murdered the shit out of Gay z and Cock a fella. Nas, tupac and Big L together would destroy anyones career on point if Nas could meet pac but unfortunately he and Big L died. Nas, Gay z and all them tributing the master and they are really meaning it. What means that everyone agrees and you disagree.

Zain Choudhry How old are u? Jay was known outside of NY. Were u even alive back then? In 96? Cuz I lived in DC at the time an niggas were already hip to Jay. Jaÿ-Z > 2Pac. Everyone is so easily fooled into believing the thug life Tupac portrayed. He was an actor who just happened to get caught up in the hype of starting a war with everyone for self promotion. He and Biggie were great friends until he decided to go after him due to getting shot and robbed inside a New York City recording studio and expecting Biggie to track down the shooters. Dropping Who Shot Ya afterwards didn’t help BIG at all even if it was recorded long before the shooting. Tupac was a mild mannered actor who happened to capitalize off of the war that he mostly started with the east coast and west coast courtesy of Death Row Records and Suge Knight gaslighting people into thinking it was an all out war. Tupac sold his soul for fame and fortune and might still be alive if he didn’t align with Death Row Records. Jaÿ-Z is still here and living a better life than 99% of any rapper ever. I’d say that Jigga won the battle and the war. I’ll still listen to Jay over Pac even though I like them both immensely. Jay has the better music. 2Pac’s music turned hasty after he was released from prison in 1995 for the rape charges.
Tupac music famous all over the world and hes still talked about almost 30 years. Jay z is not that guy, he copied biggie’s style and was worse with it. The real king of new york anyway was nas who is underrated. But hes probably the goat hiphop business person ill give him that.
I don’t care to listen to jay z anymore. He’s a hater before Tupac died and after and He is aware that he’ll never be a better lyricist than Tupac.. NEVER
Lol man I was a fan of all MCs from the West East South and Midwest as a kid. What folks have to understand is that no one's hands were clean in all of these beefs. These were young Black men who weren't far removed from the streets who all made bad decisions that ultimately cosy many to lose their lives. Pac, Big, Jay, Mobb Deep, Chino XL, Outlawz, Puff, LL, DMX, Nas, Fugees, etc all poked fun at rival members deaths and/or violent events that they had to endure. When someone comes out with a record saying they want to kill you and your children, responses like this are natural. There's a reason why O.G.s like Ice T told Pac not to release records like Hit Em Up, because he knew that deadly consequences may follow. It was a vicious cycle that needed to come to an end. Thankfully it did.
to be able to craft a song pick the proper words to express an emotion and to have a voice to be able to do it at will is a gift. Pac wasn't a lyrical miracle ass nigga , homie had a message and to complicated and intuitive problems & concepts and made it digestible to the average nigga in the street , he wasn't bragging about his jewels he was letting you know that you aren't alone in your struggle I'm with you. He was relatable and let you one he was human too , plus his charisma ( something hov lacks in abundance ) is why his diss tracks carried so much weight and why it's so hard to come against em. I didn't wanna make this shit too long winded but jay or any rapper breathing or dead for that matter in 96 wasn't seeing pac in beef. You know how hard it is to express your deepest darkest emotions on tracks it sure a hell lot harder then a pretentious rhyme style stop hatin pac , hov top 5 but pac's #1
So ur saying as many jay fans should be here praising the song... Theres more of us here clowning the guy... Acting like yall never listen to the song dissing the guy ur a fan of... Think before u speak
@johnmaldonado8794 it's my opinion & how I feel let me guess you must be from New York if so that's what yall do on sneak dissing other rappers back then instead of confronting the person being a coward so I don't care what you say or how you feel I'm not a Jay-Z fan anyways respect his hustle as a business man do whatever he has to do to stay on top & continue to make money you also have your opinion as well g
This track is waist basket! 🪣🧻🧻 Most East Coast tracks in the early to mid 90's were corny🌽 & heavily laced with melatonin.💊😴 Thank God for biggie winning using west coast tracks/formula forcing other East Coast artist to follow suit...👔🎩
Damn how I just finding this… I loved his sound from 96-97 and this song is dope I would of been bumpin it back in day on repeat but as a Pac diss kinda corny.
Jay tried to avoid beef with other rappers by putting the ROC in front of him. Canibus, Nas, Jadakiss, Dipset, and bunch of other rappers come after him but he sends his labels to defend him.
I had high hopes but this "diss" was incredibly underwhelming. To paraphrase his message in the song "I ain't gone let nobody diss me and I not respond"....that's it...it's like you could tell he was extremely cautious and feared retaliation (since he made it before Pac died). Very calculated move by Jay as usual. He didn't dish no dirt or actually get disrespectful though. No harm no foul...nothing to see here folks
Of all the NY Pac disses let's be honest Mobb deep was the illest and even that one was indirectly about pac but compared to nas and jay z dissing pac drop a gem was the illest, salute to the mobb. RIP tha don Makaveli
