He rhymed “if the shoe fits then I’ll wear it” with every bar while conveying the message that he did till the end of his 2nd verse. The technical ability to do something like this is borderline Alian level aka Eminem level.

This is what I love about his style in this era. His rap and rhymes work as normal sentences, stringing together multis while communicating a cohesive but easily digested message that hits on first listen.

@@matthewsmith635this was a Bad Meets Evil song and Royce agreed to be removed cuz Jay was on a deadline and wanted Em on Blueprint. Em made the beat and only changed 1 line that referenced Royce. So saying Em took his flow is dumb. Jay-Z had admitted Em had the better flow. He references it in A Star is Born, and an interview.

Interestingly, this beat was originally produced by Em for Royce but then Jay wanted it, since Royce saw that collab as an amazing opportunity for Em and that it would do more for Em than keeping the track would do for himself, he let it go. He did still use it and release his own song including Em's verses.

I know I requested a song on this last week, but I would love to see you revisit some artists that you barely touched on previous. Mac Miller for sure, you did two songs off his newest album but to see him really spit you gotta check his back catalogue because that wasn't the vibe he was going for on Swimming. Diablo, When in Rome, 100 Grandkids, Thoughts from a Balcony, Brand Name. Another song I have seen requested a ton, and really got me hooked on the artist is Heavenly Father by Isaiah Rashad. A lot of meaningful punches and real talk about the depression he fought with as a child.

Dead Wrong by Biggie ft Eminem. It's one of the few times in rap were eminem hops on a track and doesn't body it singlehandedly. Eminem is known for hopping on songs and straight out-classing other artists (on their own song!) but this is a very rare song where em's verse is just a cherry on top.

This song isn't from the 90s. This is from The Blueprint, which is Hov's 6th album, that came out in 2001. Eminem was already pretty established by then and was working on The Eminem Show.

This song was from Jay-Z's The Blueprint allbum. This was the album that revitalized his career and propelled his career and status to where it is today. It was also the album that helped Kanye get to his status because he produced 4 tracks on this album (this was technically his breakout album). You should do Song Cry and Takeover (famous Nas diss produced by Kanye) from this album.
