I don't know bout other dudes but I'm not a hater. I lived in that era pac and Biggie had classics that live today. He changed his style because they stole it from das effect. If anyone think of Biggie and pac lived he would be were he is either from Marcy or delusional.

Was a legend but that's just my opinion. Just listening to this and what he has been producing the past 10-15 years there is no comparison, he choose the path of money and lyrics value went down slowly but surely. He is still an amazing artist there has been some bangers along the way but i just think he lost something on the way. No hate here just my honest opinion.

He still got it..of course the old jay z is going to be the best but as time goes by rappers have to evolve because some flows..subject matter etc. starts to get old

Dude is a flat out fucking genius. Period. I like the different delivery. It's beyond catchy, even being different than the stuff that made him famous.
Over 25 years of flowing at the top of the times. Then-and this is what distinguishes him from all others- being able to adapt to the changing times and change up his flow/rapping style accordingly to be at the top of the game.
Jay had a lot to say back then and now.. More then other rappers. Even back then for his fast flow, he was still kicking some real shit. He had to slow down so everybody could catch what he was saying.

Yea it wasn't about illmatic, the flow was a early 90s /80s flow as a good hustler he saw the flow was obsolete even with dope lyrics so he changed it for $.. make sense, it was his career.. it's like someone sticking with paper when the world is moving to computers you'll be left behind
