this is a really slick flip right here. Just Blaze was on his a game with this one. Only in Hip-Hop could you take a classic and flip it into your own classic. Or maybe house music as well but still! On a commercial level Hip-Hop is the only genre that can do this like this.

No I like the change of pace. I think Jay did too. His superhero references at the end of each verse seem to show his understanding that the beat change sounds like a change of levels, like going from feet pounding on the ground, scrambling, leaping, twisting, doing some damage with laser cannons, leaping kicks, cluster bombs and batarangs then suddenly the chorus comes and your up in the air flying through NYC away from the bullshit like your untouchable but really your racing at breakneck speed tearing through absolutely anything just to get to the next emergency, so when the verse drops, you touch down again and your back on that bull, ready to fuck shit up This is how I hear music.
