Older racist cartoons, this is how they used to draw us, for laughs and giggles. I love how Jay-Z flipped that back on them with this video. And I loved your reaction to it.

Cartoonists were equal offenders. Pluto, Whimpy, Elmer Fudd were stupid and white characters. White farmers and minors were old skinny people with long white beards, worn clothes and liked to spit a lot. White bankers were short, fat and balding men. Betty Boop was a black cartoon character.

The characters were black people not animals. This is how Hollywood animators drew Black people in the early days of cartoons.//Also this video is really for Black people. Other groups are already practicing the stuff he's talking about. Don't concern yourself with them. They aren't concerned about us.

I think he meant they took out credit to buy property and rent it out. Also they made banks and gave out loans at high interest. that's how banks earn money. I think he took some tips form dave ramsey.

Yeh, I think a line some people missed, was 'I turned my life into a first week release date'. I think that's about the importance of residual income. That comes from creating a product or a song and having a patent/license on it, so you get cheques every time someone uses it.

It's based on a real photo. I believe the cartoon characters are black, while the people in the photo were white. In the photo, it was a little girl that was smiling.

Jay-Z's flow is tight, but anyone that thinks the visuals are not insulting, first review Black History, second should never be upset at other groups that show Black people this way. At some point Black folks gotta show Blacks in an inspirational light...and not how white folks see them.
