Linkin Park is amazing, on levels I will never be able to explain, but the same can be said about Jay Z. Both Jay and Chester master poets, and bringing us perspectives so vivid, you'd almost think you lived it yourself. Two legends, and its beautiful the respect Jay had, and I am overly sure it was mutual for Chester.

Linkin Park will always be one of my all-time favorite groups. Their music touched so many, and inspired a lot of us to face our own troubles, struggles, and demons head-on, stare them down, and press onward. I once read a post from another Linkin Park fan who stated "Chester's music saved so many of us. It's too bad that we all couldn't save him". Much respect to you, Mr. McCandless. Stay Safe. Peace.

Vulture Slots When I heard the news, I was coming out of school. It really sucks since I had no friends who listened to him so I had to grieve alone. His music really did impact me and I’m sure a lot of other of his fans.

Vulture Well my friends send a message to me while I was driving, I just read the words dead and chester, I moved off the highway and stay at a parking lot for 30min.. Funny, I'm basically numb in my day to day IRL but things like this never fail at choking me up.

I met him back in 2008, I'll never forget that day, we were at the same market, I asked to him take a pic with me, he even recorded a video singing happy birthday to my little brother, I just said that It was his birthday and he was a big fan, didn't even asked for the video. Such a nice guy, the hero of my childhood, R.I.P Chester Charles Bennington.

Chief x Citgo it was beautiful! And the fact that Jay Z mentioned mental health help ( even if he’s a supporter or not) still it’s a big deal. Someone in the crowd in attendance could of been on the edge that night and possibly decided to get help all because he/she was reminded of how valuable their life is. As a survivor of this horrible illness, my heart aches for Chester. He didn’t need to leave a suicide note....it was all in the lyrics 😢

I cried too. In fact when it was over I watched it again and cried harder the second time I watched that stadium light up.

He did die in November. He died on July 20th 2016.

My favorite song includes both of them. Renegades, was on the Blueprint (first), however, as good as it is, the version with Eminem and Royce is arguably better.

See I understand what you are saying but it's okay if you want to stick to a specific genre, it's all about how that music resonates and touches you, I always was stuck to rap then I found rock and metal but even though I still mainly listen to metal because it resonates with me and helps with anger issues, I still am able to enjoy gangsta rap, even bubblegum pop
