I thought it would be him revisiting the beat too because I’ve never heard this mixtape. They put this out on Puff’s debut album in 1997. Biggie did the verse in ‘95 or ‘96 but apparently he didn’t finish the track. Puff was working on his album some time in ‘96 and once Biggie died he basically used whatever verses and hooks he had in the tuck to help promote the album. Even the 2nd verse Biggie did on Victory was a reference vocal for Puff that he just left in because it sounded good. Young G’s was just something Puff revisited and he asked Jay Z to hop on it. Side note: Biggie was on Brooklyn’s Finest too.👍🏾

Ok,let's go wifey, this was a hidden gem that l came across way after the song was out. Since I love jayz it was perfect cause he was spitting. You caught that line " "they'll be studying my bones long when I'm gone"

Jay-Z mixtapes are rare to non existent. Most of a Jay-Z will have tracks that were released. Young G’s is one of those songs. Off top I don’t know many official Jay-Z mixtapes.
