The land price here isn't that inflated for people to go vertical. In gulf countries beach front is the real asset, but we don't have any such distinction here. So people choose to go horizontal. Also, we don't have proper sanitation lines to support a vertical city. But it is again a classic chicken and the egg conundrum.
