I think he’s honestly number one but I think it’s cause ima panthers fan but he’s been playin a lot of top receivers this year and he has the lowest passer rate allowed and under him it’s bradberry who’s also a former Carolina panther at 43.6 which is a huge difference
@@shlooze3 cause in the panthers press conference they said that there deepest position they needed was CB but since this draft was crazy and unpredictable I thought we finna get justin fields but at 8 that was a terrible pick we needed CB cause the division were in has elite wrs, they also said jaycee was the best fit for this team but they didn't admit
😂😂😂 fr I see him being a lockdown corner even Jalen Ramsey said he the best corner in the draft and it’s not close , and Jalen hate everybody so Jaycee must be a dawg fr
It’s sad to see the people in the comments who can’t tell good coverage vs PI. Touching someone isn’t pass interference in the league every single route if their is press coverage there will be a lot of contact it’s only PI if the ball is in the air towards the receiver and the cornerback restricts the receiver from catching it by making contact before the ball gets there
@jacob icard yeah thats not correct. Not true. Incorrect. Wrong-o. That is the most basic type of obvious pass interference but there's way more then that. Especially when you're talking about illegal contact which is also doing the same thing as pi. So you don't know what you're talking about.
He’s super intelligent. Very physical corner and uses his hands as you say to feel the recievers motion while still having the ability to watch the ball/ quarterback
Jaycee has done a good job on his mindset. You get the message from his actions; "I'm not Joe Horn's son, I'm Jaycee Horn!" So many affluent athletes grow up in their father's shadow and become soft and/or not as hungry. Not Jaycee Horn.
You should actually check his story out. His dad had him in a top shelf private school, but realized the public schools had the better football teams in the inner city. So he moved him from a prestigious private school, to a much tougher football school. He didn't want his son to take advantage of any false shortcuts.
@@saphirejewelscoward Hell Yeah he was, till Roy was inserted in the lineup we were 30th in run defense. Which was worst than the previous season. All the rave was how dominate he was, even when doubled, Dude was bullied, and was always the last dude off the snap of the ball.
Dang it well congrats Panthers you got a great player and a dog was really hoping my boys could have gotten him but panthers knew he was just too good to pass up like I said congrats you got a franchise CB
The only reason I'm so excited is because not only can he stay square with a receiver, he also stays on top. Which gives him room to peek in the pack field and not lose on deep balls automatically. He's different than Patrick Surtain and even corners in the past
I’m hoping this is the one time the boys pick who I’d love them to pick Horn is a dog we desperately need! He just keep getting better has that drive plays 100% all the time
I told someone I feel like Ramsey is the only comparison you can make for this guy they both have that dog in them but also the play on the field to back it up
@@millsturnipseed4759 play speed and actual speed are different speeds I don’t trust surtain being 1 on 1 with fast/shifty wrs he’s better against the big/strong guys just testing athletics are good but play athletics aren’t so great
@@millsturnipseed4759 watch Patrick surtain vs Seth williams and then watch Jaycee horn vs Seth williams and tell me who better💯Seth willams burnt surtain and one handed it Seth didn’t get not one catch on Jaycee‼️
I'm seeing a lot of NFL DPI calls on this highlight reel. In a gamecock fan and glad to see a world class DB probably go top 10 but he's got some work ahead of him.
If he is as smart as I'm assuming, he is just playing within the college rules of the game. I'm pretty sure his father schooled him on that and also has him mentally prepared for the NFL mindset at corner.
First of all it's diehard. Second of all if you actually watched any NCAA games (especially ACC) you'd know who he is. Exactly what we needed on defense.
What happens when you do make it?. Will you let the money and fame go to your head, & undermine your career like it’s done to so many other pro athletes?. Will you now feel entitled?. Will you get intoxicated drinking your your own cool-aid?. OR.. do you stay humble yet, hungry?. Do.. you have any interest in your own character?. Do you care to be a positive example to the kids who now wear your jersey?. I know there’s a lot of talented young men coming here to watch this video in hopes that they too will succeed to the point of where Jaycee Horn is now. I wish all of you all the success in your pursuit of playing professional football. Who knows.. someone reading this may be a future Hall of Fame football player. Not all can be in the Hall of Fame. However, all can be Hall of Fame men. God Bless you!
Great DB. A lot of holding after 5 yards 1:36 (jersey grab-do this before 5 yards trust your abilities and he has a lot!👍🏾) but CBs/defenses have a HUGE disadvantage already. I like it cuz his eyes are on the ball and he’s aggressive 0:45-that’s more of what you want🔥💪🏾. Let em play a lil’ bit👍🏾.
Wish he would get hands on at the line rather than downfield seemed like half his plays were dpi if this were 20 yrs ago his style of play would be better suited
