More great work men. Please know that imo all of the sleep y’all are missing doing these profiles is well worth it because the evals are detailed, objective and thorough. Outstanding content!!!
Finally some honest perspective on Daniels weight/frame. This guy is not over 200 pounds. His body type is pure ectomorph...he's going to put on minimal muscle while playing football and that will be a full time job in itself. Narrow clavicles, tiny joints, extremely skinny legs/calves...sure it makes him super agile, but his dude is not going to survive in the league even if he does adjust his playstyle.
When I see people compare Daniels to Randall Cunningham, I laugh. Tyrod is a good overall comp. Running ability is great but not sustainable in the pros. Arm strength in Metlife is a little worrisome. Ball sails in LSU and in Mississippi. It is concerning when he goes up north. And like you guys said, his focus on running and deadset on doing it rather than keeping his eyes downfield is another problem. Danger to hits and not taking care of his thin frame. I'm comfortable with Giants staying at 6 and taking JJ or if Schoen is interested, a slight trade up to nab Drake.
Hey Nick, what's up with changin styles, its cool, gotta stay freash bro!! Idc either WR is fine with me; Daniels, Maye or Pennix last Choice would be later round QBs Rattler n Milton
Is another comp for JD RG3 athletically??? JD probably a better passer, but another lean QB that couldn’t slide and ended up being a flash in the pan. Both QB’s would benefit from some baseball slide coaching!!!
Nick and Dan, I love you both but you two REALLY need to have an honest, private conversation about your feelings regarding Nick's pre-written synopses of players. Every single podcast where you evaluate players, Nick is always chomping at the bit to read the synopsis. Nick goes, "Can I read the synopsis now???" Then you hear Dan pause. Dan is thinking, "Oh fuck, not again." Then after the pause, Dan says, "Sure." But he's gritting his teeth the entire time. Again, I love you guys and you give us ELITE content but you need to get this one issue squared away in private and not let it fester any longer.
6:32 you can see Dan really doesn't want Nick to read the synopsis but Nick is rarin' to go!!! That half shoulder shrug when Dan says "sure" says volumes.
How was lamar a better processor in college when scouts wanted him to transition to a receiver? If jayden is there @6 scheoen will run a 4.4 to the podiun
@@danschneier513 There were reports saying that the chargers scouts asked if he would change to receiver. It wasn't just polian. If Daboll has his hands on Daniels I think he has the ability to be a top 10 QB. Imo
@@jasonbenjamin7754 I would be careful trusting those reports. We recenty saw a BS report on Nabers that turned out to be BS. As for Daniels, I get it -- there is still the upside case for certain. And his upside is massive.
So hard with projections jones has the size and injury history going back to college and Daniels is tiny but hasn’t seen long term injuries , seems like giants luck haha drafts coming soon fellas great work
I don't think his "number of explosive plays" translates at all to his NFL projection. He was playing on a team that was vastly superior to the opponent most weeks, and he had TWO elite blue chip wideouts. I'd hitch the wagon to Drew Lock before Daniels. (actually I don't know a lot about Lock's game, but from what I do know, I say "why not ? Maybe he could be our guy" )
we know what drew lock is at this point. he's 27, had his shot, and is now a functional backup. whereas daniels is 23, an incredibly explosive athlete with huge potential. i'm not sold on daniels by any means but cmon
@@s3anb0i40 I think your POV is very sound, but here's the angle that I'm trying to illuminate. People tend to overemphasize the importance of the QB, and don't give enough importance to the team that surrounds the QB. I posit these questions for examination: If Daniel Jones or Drew Lock had Brock Purdy's job, as QB of the current Niners squad, would that team be any less than they are with Purdy ? If an all-time great, such has Joe Montana or Terry Bradshaw had been playing QB for the Giants in recent years, would the team have had much more success than they have had ? I don't know the answers, but I think these questions should be considered. It really is the ultimate team sport, and I think people tend to give too much credit or blame to the QB, and not enough to the O-line, the playmakers, the strength of the running game, the coaching/scheme, and the defense, which will make or break most QBs. I just would like for people to consider these things. I'm not insisting that it's right.
@@mikec6733 i don't disagree. i try not to use the 49ers situation because that's one out of 32 teams in the NFL. they're clearly an outlier in terms of talent i think. i would agree that if you take a great and change the situation, obviously it'll be different. but burrow took his team to the super bowl his first full season behind that dogshit o line. mahomes doesn't care what kind of o line he has. QB has the ability to elevate every single other position on the field, whereas WR's can maybe elevate the QB, but a really good WR only gets you so far (vikings). i don't disagree but QB is still the most important position and for good reason
@@s3anb0i40 I agree that a Super QB, like Mahomes, Burrow or maybe Caleb Williams can go a long way towards transforming a team, but those guys are rare, and so often guys like Jayden Daniels or JJ McCarthy just become the next Daniel Jones or Drew Lock, which we already have. Instead of trying to win the lottery and find one of those rare QB talents, isn't it a more sound approach to build the rest of the team and then go forward with a good (but not unicorn elite) QB ?
@@mikec6733 i do think you have to keep throwing darts at it, but in this draft i assume williams daniels maye and potentially mccarthy will be gone before 6. i would prefer they pick one of these crazy receivers. won't be upset about a qb because i do think we need one, but when's the last time we had a dirty WR. i think we agree for the most part 😂
How is Lamar Jackson's arm talent better than Jayden Daniel's, when the consesus the first half of his NFL career was that he should be a running back or receiver?
Lamar has a better arm but I believe he tucked and ran a lot more often in college so that part of his game was underrated. I think there were accuracy issues as well on the deep ball
I think Lamar had a bigger arm and attacked the MOF better as his time at Louisville aged...arm talent may actually be more in question, for Jackson had to work on that early in his NFL career; it was inconsistent early.
