Well the rules are the rules and after 5 years your first round draft choice is up on the auction block and yes you can outbid everyone but you can go out and outbid everyone for some FA QB right now, you never need the draft if you want to do that, it just means the cupboard is bare for bringing on other players. It also means you are hung out to dry if you pay an FA QB and he does not produce.

To me this is one giant humongous red flag. I know it isn't JD speaking personally but his agent is paid to speak for him. JD didn't fire him. So to me this is JD speaking. When is the last time Washington was successful picking a 1st round QB? I don't think in my lifetime and I'm no spring chicken. Why put all your marbles in one basket when historically no matter how you look at it, your chances of success are way less than 50%. I'm of the thought if you have a good OL, good OC (which we have), good WR & TE, you don't need a great QB. How many teams have made it to the SB with decent or even below avg QB's but great defense & good OL & OC play? To answer that Q, quite a few. On PFN, AZ always wants trade up. I end of with Alt the best OT in draft, Haynes the best OG in draft. A top WR, A Mitchell or Roman Wilson to stretch the field, a top Edge like Darius Robinson, and a top CB like TJ Tampa. Even a top TE like Sanders. Why gamble and put all your eggs in one basket? Especially because if you can't put together a good OL, your QB is destined to fail. Look at Howell. I guarantee you Howell turns into a good QB once he gets a decent OL. You put Alt, Haynes, Badass (see what i did?), Cosmi together. OMG any QB could succeed. You can run for 5-6 yards a pop with any avg RB. You will steamroll DL's.

This situation reminds me of the Panthers choosing Bryce Young over CJ Stroud. I want the Commanders to go ahead and select Jayden as a Raider fan. Not because I don't think he is good. But because I don't want to give up too much to get him when it's very possible Penix would still be available and may end up being just as good if not better than JD5.

People say that Maye won"t succeed just because he was at UNC. What they fail to realize, is that was going to be at Alabama. I disagree. The damage has been done. Two quick points. I feel like JD wasn’t happy with the situation otherwise he would have immediately addressed it and if I were in the same position and didn’t have an issue with it I would seriously consider finding new representation. As far as us drafting him, if I have any doubt in my mind whatsoever whether a player wants to be here, all prospects considered equal, I’m taking the other guy. ESPECIALLY with the #2 pick. Drama before even being drafted! No thank you.. Plus we all saw DQ’s man crush on Drake.

CW is a pipe dream at this point which I believe is a blessing in disguise. I think JD can be a good QB in this league but I’m not about the drama. May seems like a safe pick, super high ceiling and he’s just a country boy from NC, which living in southeast Va I know many NC country boys and personality wise, you can’t go wrong. generally speaking, on a percentage basis, there is more drama with black players, particularly QBs than there are white ones. Black players are generally better athletes. White players are generally better teammates.

Say what you will, there’s a measure of masculinity when it comes to a man’s golf game. Especially within a group of men. Even in a (friendly uncompetitive) game, men peacock when their golf game is on point. JD was at a disadvantage and I’m sure he wasn’t feeling it.
Vontae Mack was the real deal but his personality misrepresented his true character. Bo Callahan was based off of Connor Cook. The focus was about players character and dedication. Arian Foster played that kid who screwed up but showed remorse. Someone you can work with. Nobody showed up to Bo Callahan's birthday party. Ultimately, he was an arrogant self centered jerk who couldn't handle pressure when things weren't going his way. Ask any ASU player and you'll know who Bo Callahan is. The guy who thinks he's better than everyone else. Bo Callahan would have been pissing his pants about Top Golf.

They put the QBs together, in a diff sport than FB, see how they react. Is it fun, do they chill, or blow a gasket? Daniels immediately quiets the elbow question, yet says nothing about TopGolf; to say hey, that's my agent with the issue, I'm fine with it. I think he failed the test; nothing from the other QBs on the subject. Sounds to me like another diva. He's supposed to lead; what hapoens when he is in the huddle with s bunch of older vets? Doesn't sound very Alpha Male to me. Much as I was a Daniel's guy, im seeing red flag here. This was an elimination test. Just because we did something no one else thought to do (yet) doesn't make it bad. Again, TG is something fun to do after they went through all the 3rd degree questions individually.

Certainly we Americans have had it with "debunking" which, in almost 99 times out of 100, it turns out that the debunking was misinformation. "That has been debunked" is a favorite phrase used and we are all now VERY suspicious to the point of thinking it ridiculous when the word "debunked" is used. I would seriously recommend watching Drake Maye's games and not just listening to people who hate the Commanders. I also like Caleb, but I'm biased against shorter QBs. 6'1" isn't a Bryce Young issue, but it's on the short side. After watching Drake Maye, watch Ben Roethlisberger at Miami University (not The University of Miami). You will be watching the same guy. Drake is only 21 and will be playing most of his career at 240lbs. They are identical, except Drake is a better athlete. Everyone is giving Drake the wrong comp. What's important is a QB who is durable and tough and can get you to the Super Bowl. The elite arm helps as well.
Spot on. I truly believe Drake will be the best pro qb from this draft. I also like the Josh Allen comps more so than (brain fart) Chargers qb. I feel like people, media included, see CW and JD’s improvisation and immediately jump to the Mahomes comp, which is absolutely ridiculous. When your play is better when a play breaks down compared to your play within the scheme, that’s a red flag that is dangerous to ignore.

San Fran does this and NE does it. Peters was a part of both organizations. It was fine when they did it but only when the Commanders do it, then it's a problem. Maybe Jayden's agent should have prepared him more. Agents should be familiar with the tactics of how certain GM's and personnel people do business. if im Daniels, id rather to work with o'connell than kingsburry... it always looked good early on for kingsburry, but every time, college and nfl, the defense figured out his offense. he couldnt adjust, hence his collapses late in the season. every year. Plus, not only the commanders was a mess for a long time, it doesnt appear that it changed that much. they made the most puzzling coaching hirings in the offseason. Dann Quinn is also Mr. Collapse. Not only the last game in the playoffs vs the packers, but also in the SB as the HC. So i am not sure if his agent got the power to make sure he wont go to DC, but that is what i would want if i am Daniels.

Maye wasn't even better than Howell in college and he's the most inaccurate out of the top 4 QB's. Maye should go to new England and sit behind Jacoby for a year or 2.

Yep, no drama from them at all. Analysts who do this all year have Drake Maye as #1. Caleb doesn't handle the interior push and bails too quickly from the pocket. He also has serious fumble issues. His time to throw is 3.3 vs Drake Maye's 2.7. Maye will still need to work on that but 3.3 is terrible. Maye is a good 3" plus taller. The advantage for Caleb is making plays out of the pocket. According to experts is that Drake Maye is good at that as well. The difference is too minimal. Commanders are sitting on a generational talent. The haters want us to pass on him. Florio is a Vikings fan. Simms is just stupid and stoned all the time. He also is a Patriots guy. True fans want to win and sick of drama.
