I don't think his intellect was the issue for scouts. They probably weren't sure how committed to basketball he would be since he is involved in and excels at so many unrelated things outside of basketball. A man in his position could easily give up a life of physical strain, injuries, and the burden of celebrity for a well paying job in a lab that would also gain him wealth and prestige without the media and celebrity drama.
Yet he still got beat in the dunk contest by a 6'2" G league white dude. You'd think he'd be able to come up with more creative dunks. The crowd actually booed him. First lie, no scout downgrades you because you're too smart. Making a varsity chess team and getting an athletic scholarship isn't impressive. Beating grandmaster chess players is. There are millions of people that have learned multiple languages. VP position qas gifted to him as qas the MIT media lab and NASA internships. These bring publicity to them so they're using him for views basically. There are millions of people that have learned to play multiple instruments.
He is most definitely not what you called him. Why did you use the profane reference? It was totally unnecessary. I am sure your vocabulary is more expansive than what you displayed.
@@GM.NobodyIt’s the same with musicians although they get more notoriety from their social life and persona rather than their ability to make music. If you just listen to any athlete talk about running plays then you quickly realize how much strategy and intellect is required to excel in that world, and of course intelligence is only accurately measured if you have the right metric, like the quote goes if you judge a fish on its ability to climb then it will spend its entire life thinking it is stupid.
@@davidomar742How many of those kids do you think will actually make the nba? Better to focus on academics because that's their best chance to make good money, not wasting years trying to be an entertainer.
@@TheNextgenballer yea but basketball will get them a free ride at some college. I'm not even talking about d1 either. Most people don't go to college cus its hella expensive.
Bro he didn't compromise his passions for ANYTHING. Man learned 2 musical instruments in the midst of taking graduate-level courses & learning 2 new languages. On some Da Vinci/Michelangelo shi
@@solascriptura-e7t nah I was just emphasizing that even aside from general academics (which is still wildly impressive, don't get me wrong), he seems to excel at pretty much every pursuit he sets his mind to. Picking up TWO new musical instruments as a hobby & becoming proficiently TRILINGUAL for no particular reason with as little spare time as he probably has during the season. He's like the inverse of that saying "Jack of all trades, master of none." And I apologize if this comment reads as too yappy, this Adderall's got me feeling like I'm an academic myself tryna type a damn thesis statement out 💀

Have a cousin who sold his tech startup for 20 million US, I'm a grown ass man witha house and family and I still get shit from my parents for not becoming like him.
Nah he's not the protagonist, he's the broken side character that only shows up every now and then because otherwise he'd just crush any antagonists and speed run any conflicts to complete the plot in one afternoon.
Although I am not a Celtic fan, Jaylen Brown has been my favorite player in the NBA since 2018 when he and Tatum as youngsters took Lebron to 7 games in the eastern conf finals. ever since then I became a big fan of his. I just love how he worked on his game year in year out, always putting his best foot forward, taking on the toughest defensive assignments, showing grit and a never backdown attitude. He has certainly earned everything that has come his way and I couldn't be more proud of him. He has definitely earned the respect he's getting now...
@@MannysTechWorld BS. You talking about that Josh Rosen syndrome where you already rich and privileged and just happened to play footballand be smart.
@@jahsafety6No, man. This is a real thing. Myron Rolle from FSU got questioned about his commitment to football when he was getting drafted because he was also very accomplished and big into academics. If you’re too smart or have too much going on elsewhere, then scouts will actually use it against you. Crazy, but it’s true.

He still got 4 months to get that rings. 😂
@maherkamer8872 obviously you are on the Democrat plantation. I'm a black man so you can say I'm being racist. Wake up. Stop letting people treat you like a professional victim. Isaac has his own mind. You using words like glazing shows your maturity level. Trying to be trendy.

Between Arabic, Spanish and English, he should perhaps just learn French too. That would allow him to communicate in much of the world including most of Africa, the Americas and the Muslim World.
Bro have you not watched this year? He’s literally been attacking and scoring with his left all year then running up the court holding up his left hand just so people like you know 😂
As minorities, the best we can do is educate ourselves and pave the way so that our children have a goid life and an education. Education is key. Being from the hood or from gangs is not something to be proud of, it is overcoming poverty what we should be proud of.

Single male. Same thing goes for single women. Being single gives you much more time to focus on other things rather than worrying about your romantic partner. Unless both romantic partners are reliable, trustworthy, and independent the same thing can happen.
