@whatcolorareyour6championships how about the fact he was 50% from the field 40% from the balling out against the Hawks and the 76ers while Tatum was going 1-20, 1-17 ,2-18 etc. Until game 7 (which they were lucky to win) if they would have lost, what would the news be at this point? Turning the ball over 100 times in a post-season, then follow that up with shooting blanks. I digress. Now, in spite of Brown having 1 bad series in his whole playoff career, he still finished out the post-season with those shooting percentages. With an injured left wrist and elbow, which happened in game 1 against the heat, tripped up by BAM driving the middle of the paint. A face mask and a lacerated hand. Took 8 t/o in 1 game to catch up to the amount Tatum had for the series and couldn't pass him. Avg less t/o per career and 1 less asst than tatum while being the 2nd option, but he's "turnover prone" and "doesn't pass the ball." yea right. But he's always the one to blame, and Tatum goes Scott free.. Now, Tatum role is shifting, and he comes out with a statement saying he opted out of wrist surgery. What a way to get ahead of that bullet..
Recency bias is a drug. Because people who watch JB all season knows he can go left. He had one bad series and all of a sudden their opinion changes so quickly! And he also played the entire postseason with a cut in his shooting hand and an injured elbow. He is just entering the prime of his career. He is worth the investment!
Lol one bad series?? Jaylen Brown just has mid handles and he really doesnt go left lmao. There are multiple clips of him literally carrying the ball and most of the time its him going left. After 3 dribbles or more, Brown is more likely to lose the ball. He's been doing this since I say Kyrie had left so that was like 2019-2020. And also him not being able to go left like that is why he shoots so many goddamn threes on the Celtics
The thing is, he is weaker going left if he starts his dribble going left. He can cross to his left well but if it’s forcing from a pick and roll, iso then he isn’t comfortable and gets stripped easier than his right. This is fixable but it’s up to him to practice it. His instinct is to begin dribble right most of the time.
@kentonhobday2359 90% of the league is not good using their off hand. But him doing it is highlighted to the max. Harden can barely go right you don't hear that, Tatum doesn't go left and can barely finish left. We just seen what happened to k.d going left. People just love to hate the dude it'd weird...
@@michaelfarrar4475 na his defense is crazy until last season/playoffs. His defense really suffered under mazzula tbh like the whole team. Before he was a very scary defender
@@michaelfarrar4475Not rlly, most people think he’s a “trash” defender so he can’t be overrated in that aspect because he’s actually a decent defender. I rarely see people calling brown a good defender
🍀 The Celtics problem isn't Jaylen's left hand. The problem is their lack of half court offensive sets to free up jaylens right hand. Too much iso ball from the perimeter where teams can key in on em. Not enough curls to get jaylen on the move from the middle of the court 🤷🏾♂️
I agree.. Those curls and back cuts worked well for D Wade & LeBron during Miami's run last decade. Tatum & Brown need to compliment each other better. You're right about the Iso ball. You'd think they'd figure this out by now.
@@C.Riggs14 Word up man. It turns my stomack from the lack of iq from the players, AND the coach. Popovich would have these boys clicking on all cylinders
Al he has to do is limit those turnovers and improve his defense. Hope he gets his projects completed though. Black Wall Street and improving the economic gap in Boston.
I have alot of respect for his game, and still think there’s another level he can reach as a player. Boston better appreciate him being willing to stay there because he to me is good enough to lead his own team.
10 minutes of highlights from a single season. There are 30 teams in the NBA with all of them having 1-3 max players and people have the audacity to say that he does not deserve one? That would be like saying that he is not a top 50 player in the NBA right now. People are crazy! If another team had the opportunity to pay him $304 million they would. They would be willing to trade for him after next year too. Just watch. His only weakness is handles. People are bringing up turnovers and his handles as if they are separate issues. Dame has a weakness too, defense. Most stars have a weakness. His weakness has a workaround though. Let someone else handle the ball or just pass a lot like the Warriors. There's so many ways to hide his issue yet people pick on that more than most of these stars' poor defense which cannot be hidden. Why is he the only one being asked to do the one thing he is not good at? Why not pick on Steph Curry for not dunking more while you are at it?
@@thatkidAtrayne did you not watch the highlights? Plus I am someone who watches him play consistently I would know. You keep playing into false stigmas created online
Tatum has already talked to guys who stayed with one team for a large portion of their careers. He won’t request a trade unless the locker room starts to get ugly.
