NOBODY can guard luka like that for 5 games. NOBODY. 2X more posessions than all other Cs in the finals....150+ posessions.....mavs offensive rating dipped all the way down to an awful 84.8% in those posessions....in 150 posessions over 5 games with brown on him....luka was only able to get off 25 shots....and only make 11 of them . That leaves 125+ posessions luka did absolutely nothing. Remarkable.
Well hes been top 10 for 2 years...he has now passed tatum an may be top 5 moving forward....bro avg 32...6...3....on 60% shooting without tatum this season...AND PUT luka in a box in the finals...and was the best player all playoffs and since the ASG
@@Rondo413his numbers only dipped because of the addition of KP and Jrue. Both he an tatum lost ppg due to the balance of adding a 3rd 20 ppg player AND being the best offense in nba history...while having the 5th best point differential in nba history as well. They played in so many blowouts with so much balance....the fact that this man is probably now a top 5 player due to being the Top 2way player in the league, and he was snubbed from BOTH all nba and all defense when he needed to be on both. Oh well...he got the last laugh by a mile.
Jaylen is amazing on both ends. To me, the most impressive thing about the Celtics, was that everybody, no matter how talented was willing to sacrifice their ego and play their role. You rarely see that with teams this talented. Unlike last year, this let them have great motion on offense and better defense..
Tatum didn't sacrifice his in game 5 , hell he has YET to have anyone else but him to hold the trophy , now Brown could've EASILY gotten more points in game 5 but was selfless an unselfish an pass all night while making big plays , that's why he's the fmvp .
@@TheDON914 Tatum had 11asts in game 5 while also easily scoring better than anyone else on the team... Tatum can't avoid criticism no matter what he does even when he is obviously the biggest reason why they won like he was in game 5. Tatum probably deserved FMVP and he is definitely the best player on the team.
@@justsayin669 tatum isnt anywhere near the reason they won...brown is better...brown is the leader....Brown guardrd luka doncic 2X more than every other celtic. 150+ posessions....in those posessions the mavs offensive rating dipped to an awful 84.8%. 150 posessions vs brown over 5 games....luka was only able to get up 25 shots....and only make 11 of them. That leaves 125 posessions luka was in a box....tatum was hunted by luka an fried by him every time he got switched onto him....tatum needed 14 more shots to only avg 1 more pt....tatum is the starting PF falling into free boards while brown is out at the 3 pt line guarding everybodys best and getting into transition. And brown avg 5 assists to 7 for tatum...which is a made shot...vs a missed shot...by the player who took the shot. Brown also had more steals....more blocks.....u tatum fanboys an nba casuals will never learn. Brown been the same as tatum....brown is now better than tatum...and it really aint close. Jacking more shots at a lowe clip an being 4 inches taller standing under the rim colleting boards doesnt measure talent.
@@justsayin669 easily scoring better on 38% shooting ??? Easily scoring with the worst shooting clip in the playoffs on the entire team???? 42/28...is a far cry from easily anything....can you say...." inefficient volume scorer "????
I dont think we will either...hes been top 10 for a couple years...but i beleive he has entered the top 5...Elite on both ends is pretty much non existent today....Ant will.get there...but ant turned into a puppy in the WCF AND in game 7 vs nugs....he will have to learn to win in the playoffs like brown...tatum
Forget the scoring and the defense he’s been on that. It’s the passing! The ball use to stick to my guy and now he’s looking for the pass and making great passes. He has been my favorite player to watch grow into a star.
Went from all star and all NBA caliber to ECF and Finals MVP and potential HOFer. He's shown he can be this guy for a couple years, just needed some more growth and consistency to play at a legendary level
Jaylen was fantastic this season, especially in the playoffs. He played like,it was on a mission, like he had something to prove and he prove it!People need to put some respect,on his name! H7M!
I been saying best 2-way guard for yrs but yall was hating n this also shows the nba doesn't call same fouls for him that do for other look at all these and 1s but no calls
Tbh mavs series was probably the celtics least competitive of the post season, and yet everyone talking about a weak east. There is a lot of starpower in the west, but the east and plays better team ball, aka basketball
I respect Ant and I respect Luka with all my heart but Jalen would’ve put them on lock regardless of who made the Finals. He’s actually got a left hand now and can defend with the upper class of them. He sacrificed stats for a chip and I can’t help but see him as the heart of the Celtics. No diss to Tatum, he’s a baller, albeit inconsistent. JB provided that steady presence the Celts needed throughout the playoff run and it was a no brainer to have him be Finals MVP. He’s the one who locks in during the playoffs. As a Celts fan I love Tatum but does he deserve more money than him especially after his new contract? No. Not really. He’s great but JB is too consistent to be ignored.
Go out there and prove these doubters wrong man. Prove them wrong by winning them over with your games. Ik some booed you when you got drafted but pretty sure you win them idiots over. Go get us some more chips
Please celtics fans stand up... We got some work to do... I want everyone to go to the comments of that 2023 g7 against the heat and we need some conversations there... XD
@@CtFletcher-eg5zj The award could have gone either way. I love both of their games, but it was Jaylen Brown’s level of consistency that set him slightly apart from JT.
Tatum, brown, kyrie, luka. brown is the least talented but the one with the biggest heart and hardwork. so fixated and determine to hunt luka on both ends of the floor. "if luka stays, i stay" that's a GOAT-ed mindset. reminds me of kobe and mj
They more flashy but Jaylen is just as talented, Jaylen is the most athletic out of all of them and still has more room to grow, his hard work I think allows him to have the highest potential out of all of them
