Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean on This Morning talking about their first routine of the new series of Dancing On Ice, the ‘Jason Gardner vs Gemma Collins’ drama and their biopic!
Saw you both in Brisbane.took my son 27/28 years ago.he is now 34 and was hit by a car coma for 5 months that was 4 years ago.he came home after 2 years had traumatic brain injury and still in wheel chair learning to walk and talk.and he still remembers your show in brisbane.couple of friends threw crap at us for going to ice skating show, and the footy takes pride in their house not ice skating.my brother in law said to friend sorry you're culturally starved.but there is nothing like Torvill & Dean.so great to see you pair still skate together.🙏
I LOVE TORVILL AND DEAN!!! Chris is much older than I am but I have a major crush on him!!! Their original performance of Bridge Over Troubled Waters....I pretend to be Jayne 😂😂😂💖💖💖💖💖
He skated 'Bolero' for the first time half a decade before I was even born and I'm still nuts about him. And Jayne is just a complete joy. They're such a gift.
Anyone know that documentary where they visited where they grew up? I never watched it, my sister lives in the Flat Chris grew up in and she was saying how when they filmed there they had to do several different takes of her welcoming him in and I just wanted to see it. xD Just a random fun fact if anyone reads my comment, when my sister got a letter from the BBC through her letter box asking for permission to film she was considering saying no, she actually ignored it for the longest time before saying they could. from what my sister said when they filmed he was apparently on the road talking about the front bedroom(my nieces room) saying it was his bedroom and something about waiting for permission to go inside, I guess it's possible they could have filmed that part as she was waiting but they 100% never knocked on and asked if that's what they claims in the documentary. lol I'm also kinda mad at her for not telling me when he was gonna be round coz I would have loved to of met him, though she did get a cheeky picture with him along with a signed autograph. Extra fun fact, No one online when I said it believed me(probably still don't, not bothered really) but strangely enough my niece got bullied after it as well coz a group of girls where jealous of her..
The one that comes to mind right away is ‘Ice Rink on the Estate’ the documentary where TnD went back to Nottingham to teach kids to skate. That’s awesome though that you have family that live in Chris’ old house!!
