Just what I expected. "It happens". JB showed accountability. We do not care that you feel like you know how to score the ball. We need you to score the ball. Especially when Bobby is asking you if there is anything limiting you and you tell us there is nothing wrong. Then it's just lack of effort. Step up JT. Especially if ur not injured. I know that people hated his response but I actually respected it. The best team in NBA without the best coach, only 2 all star nominations, no rewards, etc. People have to pick a lane. They say they want him to focus on scoring and then when he does he is accused of not playmaking and too focused on "getting his". There's literally a double-standard out there for this team.

Jrue is a 5th option. He's going to get a pass on this team. Even with Porzingis off, he is a 4th option but a 5th or 6th scoring option overall. He isn't asked to do what he was supposed to be doing on the bucks

@@tinobrown1780 pritchard as a scoring option is higher than jrue holiday and we all know that Sam hauser is higher on the scoring board option compared to jrue with his historically elite three point shooting. That puts Jrue as a 7th from a scoring option perspective without porzingis. Jason Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Derrick White, Payton Pritchard, Sam Hauser, and Al Horford all come before Jrue Holiday as far as being a scoring option. If they have to go all the way to Jrue Holiday to blame for scoring, that's a problem on the whole team, not Jrue. Jrue Holiday was asked to do a lot on offense for Milwaukee but that isn't his job in boston which is just defense defense defense and facilitating the ball to teammates + a couple threes here and there. Scoring isn't everything. Defense wins championships. If we are going to blame Jrue, it is going to be his defense and facilitating the ball. It can't ever be anything else. Jrue didn't come to Boston to drop 20 (or 50 in the extreme against Indiana on 66% shooting) on people's heads like he did in Milwaukee. He was given a contract to lock down defenders, not give MFers 50 on their heads every night. Of course we would love to see Jrue drop 20 on the enemy team every night but that stuff isn't going to happen. This is a dumb argument when the whole Celtics team(notably including Derrick White and Jaylen Brown) went cold from 3. Okorro is most definitely higher on the bracket with the cavaliers compared to Jrue Holiday from a scoring point of view.

@@iqfts he needs to realize he's closer to Giannis than Devin Booker. I think his profile is pretty close to Bron but he doesn't have the IQ, passing, straight-line speed, or 3 point shooting ability that current LeBron has. Tatum needs to work on his post game, limit his ball handling to just pushing the ball in transition, get rid of top of the key isos, develop off ball skills to get easier shots near and at the rim, never take another sidestep 3 in his life, reduce his 3PAs by half at least, and establish a mid range game focused on getting to a spot rather than fading and shooting over people.

I've always said, without D White's big games, Celtics would have lost more games to the Heat & last game. This G2 is reminiscent of G2 vs the Heat. Casual on perimeter D & let Garland & Mitchell shoot, while they looked flat without much energy. Rebounding is effort. Then there's the in-game adjustments the Mazzulla failed with Q3.

I’m never a fan of coach Joe, h he also lack the mentality to get his boys together and play hard. His mindset is all about offense and shooting threes that way if the Celtics get a huge lead, they don’t need to worry about defense, but when the Celtics don’t make threes, they collapse they don’t know what to do and that’s the coach fault! defense win championship we all know that and we got superstars in this team that don’t really need to focus on just scoring! JB showed up to his presser angry...Tatum shows up Passive with NO DOG in him at all, just like he plays (constantly walking the ball up the court, constantly standing in the corner, constantly looking for the ISO only to drive and get stripped cause he Carrys the ball low).. I was a huge Tatum fan at one point, but it's become extremely frustrating watching him play the last couple of Months.

As a lifelong Celtics fan, I don't expect them to never lose...dah. However what is concerning is just when you think they got the idea of good fundamentals, they revert back to those same stupid and lazy bad habits. That's on the lack of leadership and coaching. They need to stop dribbling the ball 19 seconds and then to expect a last minute pass to a teammate to be productive (love you JB and JT, but I especially mean both of you). As far as the insane reliance on 3s...when the 3s ain't falling you have to adjust (Joe I mean you). I appreciate the head coach, but he's got to be smart enough to have and execute a plan B. He does'nt seem to be willing or capable of doing so. That ain't going to get the job done. Somebody in charge better get in Joe's ear sooner than later. This ain't the time to be arrogently stupid...you wanted the job then act like it. You've seen this happen far to often!

he's only inherited the shamelessness about taking bad shots from kobe, but he's got the competitive drive of ben simmons and post-warriors jordan poole. his attitude matches his play style: lazy, low motor, walking up the court every possession, shooting contested sidestep 3s because getting to the basket is too much work. dude does more to conserve stamina than 55 year old LeBron, only to be dogshit in 4Qs / clutch time anyway. he has the potential to be a real superstar, but he has no elite skills whatsoever and has plateaued if not taken a step back in his development. he cares more about numbers than quality play, as shown by him never heaving at the buzzer and letting guys like D White take end of game shot clock violation turnovers. his great stat games were ones where the team blew out opponents in the first 3Qs and there was no pressure on him. he relies so much on tough shot making but somehow can't make anything when those tough shots are necessary in the playoff atmosphere. him being in MVP conversations is fraudulent and honestly, i don't think he should even be first or second team All NBA. he didn't play well in a single clutch game all year and his 4Q stats are garbage. that is not a superstar player but a stat-padder

How bad does he want it? But, to be honest, how bad do the other four starters want it? Its not all on Tatum. I saw Cleveland come out and try to shut down the 3 ball. They were spread out. Boston needed to get it inside and Celtics never went backdoor in to paint. They need to recognize other team is making a run. And when other team catches them, they need to call timeout and change the strategy. They are laid back cool, but at that point, you have to put your head down and win the game of will.

No. The world and especially the Celtics Nation would forgive you any loss as long as you showed the bare minimum in terms of effort. We the fans don't care if you win by 25 points against the Miami B team. We want to see players give the best of themselves tactically, technically, physically and mentally. Our problem is seeing you a world away from the intensity and mindset of the other teams. Our problem is not seeing the slightest revolt when you are at -20 at home. Where is Celtics Pride? JB: 'This is unacceptable' JT: 'you guys expect so much, damn, it's just a game' So, despite two days of his coaches and teammates answering every question, insisting he was playing good (which he was), JT was still more interested in what the comment section thinks, so even though there are three very good point guards on this team, they decided to try and run the offense through Tatum, and like every time they do this, the offense stank, so the defense was never set up, and they got blown out. Every. Single. Time. When Tatum walks the ball up, the C's lose. It's like Mazzulla has to sacrifice a game every few nights to prove it to Tatum again, so that they get another few games of him letting the guards be guards.

@@wklguy2376 This is completely inaccurate. They are great when he moves the ball - they are great when he touches the ball. They are dogcrap when he carries the ball up and is the first touch. There are reams of statistical support for the idea that the Celtics are great when Tatum gets the ball in the post, and when he screens - there are reams of statistical support for the idea that when Tatum is first touch, he is usually the last touch, and the scoring potential of those touches is dire.

He is a baller but not a leader. I do not expect he takes any responsilibilty. Without KP, I saw this team same as last year. No idea how to break into the paint and played lots of ISO. Once the Cavs closed out and crowded the paint, Celtics offense went off. Easy af.
