everyones comparing them to melanie and im just like 👁👄👁 they have such different music styles like jazmins is quite rock/punk and melanies is soft and melancholy. i understand maybe comparing the aesthetics, but music wise theyre very different
@@zombiebiter actually, jamzin is from the UK and their accent is pretty prominent in a lot of their songs. They don't sound anything like Melanie either way. They have no similarities except for maybe that they both wear pastel colours but Mel is vintage and simple clothes and jazmin is pastel gore-y so ye
My little brother said he didnt like this video. I asked why and he said "They are so mean to that pig. They'er a bad owner, that pig is being so nice."
Jazmin is Non-Binary by the way. They go by they/them pronouns. Just a heads up before anyone comes here and gets offended that you misgendered Jazmin. Guten Abend!
@@manicmic7114 dude, why are you spending so much time replying under EVERY SINGLE comment under this video? nobody cares about your opinion. if you don’t like it, scroll past.
@@manicmic7114 not really no No one specific invented this type of music or aesthetic Its been around for a really long time You just don’t like seeing people be creative
Spencer Yancey think the person who wrote the comment meant it in a good way, from aesthetic to the clothing to instrumentals! I do agree that their voice is amazing though^^ Also Jazmin uses They/Them pronounce for future reference !^^
Spencer Yancey Yeah i can understand that. At first it was also a little hard for me figuring out how and when to use the pronounce, it can take awhile. But thinking about it as if you were talking about a group of people like; " *They* all agreed in the group" might help. Edit: just realized how that doesn’t make sense since you don’t address a group as them.
"I'm a nasty lil swine, take and break what isn't mine" is my fave lyric, also, I was so sad when you stabbed the cute painting that piggy made omg lol
@@grimsyn8174 No, this idiotic shit is why TBM gets put together with the cringiest talentless hacks that happen to be weird or remotely mall goth looking, and why their tours are always a random crapshoot of bands that are usually just vaguely "dark" with a coin toss of them being decent. This isn't like the birthday massacre at all, it's disposable trite garbage. Listen to more bands, distinguish past the fact they both have girls and use dark color tones. The closest TBM song to this is red star which is an incredibly massive leap.
@@danisidd2971 I know the band wouldn't agree with any of this because it's mean and putting this down but it's the truth, they get grouped in with a a lot of bands/artists with a lame gimmick or sound that is nothing like theirs, whether that be the actual music or general vibe. And I am talking about outside of touring (I realize half of that is who they are friends with and then the other half is finding anyone somewhat agreeable to their audience) and just google rankings/ people that remember 00s and still put them next to bands they don't listen to anymore for good reason but dressed the same. What about this was anything like TBM, even as a mix? "Bro this had guitar in it and went heavier at points, dude purple, this is SO tbm", shut the fuck up
It's honestly ao crazy to think of how far Jazmin has come. From 16 to 21, theyve been through so much. I cant imagine how much pain they mustve gone through during the Worldwide torture era and im so glad they could escape that part of their life and create tramatic livelihood to close that chapter. Its so beautiful even though it was born through such horrible trauma. Im so happy for them, they've worked so hard and they deserve this.
THIS would be my theme song if I were an MMA fighter, boxer OR WWE superstar!!! Imagine, entering WrestleMania with Jasmine performing LIVE and having the GREATEST ENTRANCE EVER!!!
Sometimes I feel really upset with people being uncomfortable about such unique artists like Jazmin. It's easier for me to feel uncomfortable listening to people that don't have anything that differs themselves.
@@KicksPregnantWomen I don't know, to me Jazmin seems really unique, I don't usually see people with that kind of style. And since when is having a horror-like, interesting style is equal to being an "edgelord"? I'm not even going to try to correct you with Jazmin's pronouns, from your previous comments I can see that you know that they are non binary and you're simply too ignorant and lack some basic respect to other people to use correct pronouns.
I’m a huge Poppy fan, and I’ve been looking for someone that can give me that same feeling I get when listening to poppy’s music. I’ve finally found it. Their music styles aren’t very similar, but they still have that pop-metal mix that I cannot get over. It’s like the songs let out my anger for me.
Since not a lot of people understand what we mean when we say Jazmin uses they/them pronouns we mean instead of saying "Omg I love Jazmin **she's** so talented" Instead say "Omg I love Jazmin **they're** so talented"
this is like watching a sick, gorgeous dream. Everything i could ever ask for in a music video - gross and lovely lyrics, pastel goth imagery, and badass extreme makeup looks, not to mention those animal masks holy fuck 👀😱 I adore you Jazmin 💝💉
okay but jazmin is fuxking amazing. they're so talented and crazy cute. they stand out and their music is awesome and makes me so so happy. I am so proud of jazmin and how far they've come 🥺💕 honestly deserves more attention
Ju Juliana i know, that's why i tried to give a polite, gentle reminder. jazmin uses they/them pronouns, has top dysphoria, and doesn't identify as female. that's it, not trying to start an argument.
@@boundronin1650 My parents are also gen x. Actually the other day my dad told me that he thinks Jazmin is pretty cool. He likes metal music so that makes sense. My mom still thinks Jazmin is gross though lol.
Just revisiting this masterpiece three years after release. I wish they didn’t stray from their rock ish sound but they’re a new artist and they’re experimenting still… fan since this released lol. THIS MUSIC VIDEO THOUGHHHH SERIOUSLY ART
As an AFAB guy, I love how like calming it makes the community when people as a whole are, for the most part, very respectful of the pronuons and make sure to tell those who don't know/slip up to help them fix it. Not always super easy to find such accepting communities.
I love how during this video, Jazmin appears wearing like different outfits. It’s like they appear in different forms of themself. It’s amazing! 😍🐺🦋🌸✨👿🔪🔫
nobody: People: THEY ARE JUST LIKE MELANIE MARTINEZ!!! me: don't you think they get annoyed by being compared with somebody who isn't them. Like fr Lolita/Pastel ISNT MELANIE'S CREATION!!!! But still they both dope AF.
what, who’s saying that? maybe some of their aesthetic comes from the same place, but in terms of the actual music their sounds are completely different. two people wear the same color dress, suddenly their twins from the same womb, lmao.
I think I saw you in a HOOKED ON THE LOOK video before. As soon as I saw that you made music now I started screaming. I love this so much! Keep up the hard work! ❤️🖤❤️
fuck people, do what you want and wear what you want, I've been painting my nails black (I'm heterosexual dude) for a year or so and it was ultra hard for me to show them in stores to the assistants, people in the queue, my grandma etc. but I learned how to be meaner for the people who were mean for me and it feels just so fucking good to not give a fuck and out-talk those who tried to harass me in both physical and verbal way leaving them without a single word to say cause they get ashamed
They actually looks nonhuman. A lot of people who try to seem nonhuman, don't look that convincing or barely look nonhuman. This nonbinary warlord does though. I have NEVER seen them without makeup and the contact lenses and their very pale skin makes them look more nonhuman. I'm convinced. We need more nonbinary celebrities/singers/actors and warlords, gosh darn it cuz I'm loving this one.
The best part is that they kept this makeup inside of this specific era. (Yk for worldwide torture) and is starting to venture into other different styles of makeup for their other stuff. Which makes each album/ep unique with the makeup.
@@raidermaxx2324 24 year old guy here,I love Melanie Martinez,Poppy and starting to get into this act as well. There's only so many times I can listen to Fear Factory or Infant Annihilator before I get bored. This is so refreshing in the world of pop and nü-metal
Don’t get angry with the misused pronoun. Calmly correct them, because they do dress rather femininely, so the comment just got confused and made a mistake.
I remember in German class we were discussing style and ways of self expression, I told my teacher that Jazmin is one of my favourite artists and showed her a photo from their insta, she was obviously kinda taken aback but said that it looks very unique and interesting. ALSO when I told her that Jazmin goes by they/them she respected it and used their pronouns. Is it really that hard?
As a German myself, I was surprised to see that there's such thing as a "German class" in other countries lol it's usually Japanese, English or Spanish
teacher is such a queen. just because you don’t understand someone else’s self expression or identity or it isn’t your taste- doesn’t mean you can’t respect them as a unique fellow human being.
