"...To find different ways to express the ONE note"

 I think that's a beautiful and brilliant way to see and approach it.

It's easier having a clear aim in mind (or ear) to find a way to get there, instead of tensed focussing on a creative way without having a clear aim in mind. If you know where to end, the way there will become naturally more play- and joyful, both as a player and listener.

Thanks much for sharing Yaakov!

I remember in one of you videos you say that bach and django were geniuses, but that you weren't Yaakov. These kind of videos show how wrong you are. Your playing is amazing in this video, but the simplicity of this idea is genius. Looking forward to trying it!

How do you choose which guide notes to choose for each chord?
@GypsyAndJazz
@GypsyAndJazz 5 месяцев назад
Choose one of the chord tones for each chord and stick with it. First, just go through the process I show here with the notes I chose, then choose your own and try other songs.
@oldmaterizz4516

Does anyone knows which note this would translate to if it was major blues?
@GypsyAndJazz
@GypsyAndJazz 2 года назад
This was an explanation of the concept using Django Reinhardt's composition, Minor Blues, since it's familiar to so many guitar players. Of course, you can apply it to any song. Play around with it, Old Mate!
