I transform all your material to guitar, which is challenging because it doesn't translate exactly because simultaneous clusters (chords) of small intervals aren't always possible on the guitar but it's lovely practice at any rate
Have you seen this channel too? Another great one, but with demonstrations on guitar - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8dv88sU0Ayw.htmlsi=2wkd96D_uxJfrJJ2
@@JazzSkills was wondering what the best place to start is in learning to play jazz if I already have a basic skill in piano playing and knowledge of major scales, is it to dive right into theory or start playing jazz standards?
@@murraypickering4269I’m not paid by Shan to say this 😂 but I took the plunge a while back joined Jazz Skills and found an answer that’s working for me. The answer (and he has YT videos on this) is developing fluency. Understanding the components and drilling them. Over on Jazz skills he has a course which took me to a place which gives foundations to build on. I’m sure there will be people that won’t want to work the way he suggests, but it’s worth a try to see how you get on. Plenty of us over there trying to support each other with Shan’s tireless help to get to grips with this fantastic music.
