This is a recreation of the "Lab Rat" a.k.a. the Laboratory level theme from the game Jazz Jackrabbit 2 released by Epic Games on May 7, 1998.
The original score was written by Alexander Brandon and was very influential on my early music ideas.
Being a huge fan of the Jazz Jackrabbit 2 game I often listened the incredible OST.
I now have the chance to give this favorite melody of mine a different spin in the Trance/Dance genre.

@@AllanZaximo Jazz 2 is still a beautiful looking game. All it needs is some compatibility work and support for higher resolutions. It already looks and plays better than most indie platformers released today. I’d totally rebuy it, especially a physical copy.

I’m Gen X, after Vic 20 and C64 the Amiga was my portal to the gaming future. But composers like this one accidentally blew my mind in a way I wasn’t expecting. So since I’m so old and must appear to be sober, mature and at least somewhat distinguished, please do not tell anyone that I think this remix is AWESOME and that it’s MY JAM and that I was, just now, cutting righteous shapes along with it.

HOLY~~!!!!! For the first few seconds I wasn't sure what to make of the remix....and then MY JAW DROPPED and i had to drag it all the way up with a crane to my mouth!!! THIS IS FREAKING DANCEABLY BEAUTIFUL! EPIC!! Wouldn't be out of place at all in a new Jazz Jackrabbit game...or a MOVIE!!!!! Wow this whole track is great from beginning to end! Glad I discovered this as this was my favourite childhood game. My favourite parts are the layers you added at around 0:44 to 1:14 and 4:26 to 4:55 , it matches so well! Really creative and beautiful those extra layers

@@AllanZax I will definitely check it out, thanks! I have original install CD:s somewhere too, but from what I can remember Windows 10 refused to install it from there. That old machine is having trouble to even boot up, and even if you can boot it, it crashes all the time, probably hard drive is really on it's last legs. :D

Yet another masterpiece, Allan! I am honestly amazed at these epic remixes....Jazz Jackrabbit's soundtracks are some of the most epic tracks ever made for games by Alexander Brandon & your remixes are the best so far IMO. wow! One of the best Labrat remixes. In most cases they are just midi files with instruments replaced with FL... ps. Did I hear Spazz pain SFX at 1:27? xdd ps2. What program do you use?? I am using the same and exact version of FL for last ten years xp and can't create such good vibes

I'd like to, but cant due to all sorts of legal stuff that will come from Epic Games and everyone over the years holding the rights to the original OST.

Ooooh the other "beautiful" JJR2 track, very nice cover. I want to go play it yet again now. Epic should remake this and release it on all platforms with your remixes haha. But they probably lost the source code, that's the usual excuse for no remakes :(
