Alex Wolff is the drummer. Absolutely STUNNING performance in 'Hereditary', but he actually got his start playing a drummer as a kid on Nickelodeon, so I think he really is drumming. Curious to see if he appears in the Bando Stone film or just the music video.
I feel like gambino is trolling reactors with how he made the music video lol. the non music video version of this song has a full extra minute worth checking out. In fact check out the whole album this is on. Bando Stone and the New World.
I think he's just tying into his style as an artist overall, more than just as a musician. In his order music videos there's a few that end in thriller/horror vibe. I would love to see him and Jordan Peele make a full length horror movie together.
Great video! As far as the drummer, you're right he is in Hereditary. Alex Wolff, as a kid him and his brother starred in The Naked Brothers Band which would perform live so he's been playing drums specifically for well over a decade now. Talented guy, he's directed his own films as well.
if you love Hammond organ check out Highly Suspects new album As Above, So Below it has awesome organs throughout the whole album, most notably on Mexico, Summertime Voodoo, The Blue Eyed Devil, and Plastic Boxes
If you watch some of Gambino's older music videos, there's a few that end in thriller/horror scene vibes. I think it's a call back to his style overall, especially when you think about his show Atlanta, playing with off kilter themes is nothing new for him. Good album, though I do prefer his first three albums overall. Looking forward to seeing his movie.
I'm with the kid; I hated the ending. It was grotesque and off-putting. We were just vibing to the music and it was violently ripped away as the video turned into a horror film. The kid also felt very uncomfortable when asked "What didn't you like about it?" Like, obviously, it was grotesque and off-putting.
