musiclido ah yes, I’ve been listening to ed bickert a lot, those stretches help get those nice closely voiced notes! Really cool sound so been working on that! Thank you!!

Great noodles, as always ... and the inherent sound is so familiar, as I have a Country Club in Caddy Green -- humpblock markers, Dynasonics but no Bigsby. It's my most comfortable electric neck; one thing I especially like about this model is the 25.5 scale, which is, I'm sure you know, less common on a Gretsch. As for sound, I have a hard time deciding between the CC and my 6120EC, with the neck P90 and bridge Dyna -- both are great for jazz and just very versatile guitars. Have fun with that baby!

Trombonology Erstwhile thanks! Funnily I played a green country club recently and absolutely loved it. Almost considered trading my 6120, but despite its country flare that guitar seems to have a hold on me! Plus I like that it’s kinda not a jazz guitar by appearance. But ultimately the CC is really cool for jazz. It would be cool to hear the p90 at work though, ala Grant green!

I was thinking about switching my Powertrons into my Powerjet for TV Jones T-Armonds... What do you think of them for jazz?

TommyWendover hey man, t Armand’s are cool for jazz! A little bit more of a fender -esque tone I found, more of a sheen, so I guess a little sweeter than regular dynas. I’ve got a video where I play my old duo jet with dynas, you might find that helpful!
