Before I stumbled on your channel, I only thought of jazz piano as a way to improve my skills, I didn't actually like it at all. Every time I listen to one of your arrangements you change my mind.
Good day Daeyoun Kim, I am wishing to purchase the sheet music, I am wondering if you have a midi file for purchase also, await your reply with thanks Kind regards Noeline
Excellent rendition BUT !!!! despite what the first page states it is NOT a "Traditional American Melody". Although it has been very popular and used widely in America it was written in England!
This is a fantastic piece that i am trying to teach myself, but i have a question: is the Riff in 20 noted correctly? I am not very strong at reading sheet music, but it sounds different when I play it (according to the sheet music) than when you do 😅
Thank you so much for listening! I've just checked it again, but It has been written correctly. If you have a question about this score, please feel free to email me. :)
Bar 2 It took me years to appreciate the sound of the major third and perfect 4th at the same time in a chord. It works here because its an open voicing of course but still even years ago I hated this sound...now I love it ❤
I really agree with you. I also thought that 'major third' and 'sus4' never sound at the same time. But I'm enjoying this sound now! It's a very attractive sound. I think it is one of the necessary chords in jazz. Thank you for sharing your idea!
@@rumbol2 also isn't bar 6 G13#11. Similarly at bar 14 the second chord is G7#5 and bar 21 has the 6th/13th in the Dbmaj7 (although I'd probably just write Fsus4/Db) I just always like to write the full chords because sometimes a player will miss key tones unless that key tone is in the melody (which it isn't in these examples) Also the C7sus4 would it not be better written as Bb/C? Since there is no G in it. Gm7/C if it does. Maybe I am getting to pedantic it is just my way because I love slash chords lol
Hi Daeyoun absolutely brilliant. In bar 41 the upward glissando in the left hand is that all white notes from lower C to upper? It doesn't sound right when I try to play it. Thanks very much great piece
Thank you for this. I bought this an various other arrangements of yours and I'm very excited to be playing them. My son is enjoying them too! Even my neighbours are commenting! Big thanks and love from Sydney - Dave
