🤣Then, he hit us with the snare stick upside down. That's when I turned on full screen and switched to headphones. Looks like he's mixing the whole band too with that laptop. Dude is a legend.
Caught these guys as a RU-vid recommendation. Just before i was listening to Yussuf Dayes and Alfa Mist .. safe to say RU-vids algorithms are working just fine :)
the brightness of the snare really comes through without having to use a piccolo snare (would be too bright imo) -- mixing is nice here on the highs :)
A clear, clear, sustained sound. A well thought out counterpoint. The rhythm is fluent. Tools complement each other intelligently. In short, it's a very mouth-watering, compelling and terrible jazz moment. It is an engaging play, well thought out and beautifully staged. Three inspired and talented instrumentalists. Bravo!
I've seen them live right here in Belgium, Brussels, two weeks ago, in the Hungarian Institute for Culture... There were like only 50 people... People don't know... What a band! Crazy fusion fonk!! Diggin' it to the fullest. Rock rock on guys and please return to Belgium! Peacers
I tell people all the time, music is a gift from GOD, it binds us all together, all races, we don't see or hear anything else, just the love and flow. This was just beau, ti and ful!
Very Beautiful & Poetic.... The electric piano player is a romantic funky-jazzy dude, ... Outstanding drums & bass also. This is trippy sublime.... Got soul. Urban motives 🚴🏻♀️⛹️♂️♑♋👫💜💜🌄
Smooth with plenty of pocket. Doing it the right way. Would love to see these cats here in the USA. They would own the NYC Lofi-Neo Soul scene. The look and vibe they have would fill many bars and clubs. Show them some love Europe!!! You have a treasure with the Jazzbois.
I'm from NYC. Can you clue me in on who I should see in the NYC Lo-Fi neo soul scene? My favorite scene in the world is the London New Jazz sound but I'm open to exploring here of course
@@sahildoshi4438 If you live in or around NYC you are truly blessed. There are several Neo Soul/Jazz spots all over Manhattan and Brooklyn that showcases new and upcoming talent plus established acts all the time. I recommend starting with the established venues like the Blue Note because you can see Robert Glasper and Cory Henry. There are several underground clubs not so established with great music but in shady areas of the city that can place you in harms way if you're not street smart. Explore and enjoy. 100% truth about the London scene. They get it. Great music coming out of England once again. My favorite act right now is not from NYC but Virginia. Butcher Brown is the name of the band and they do 70s style retro Funk and Neo Soul.
@@Junglesmells surely has inspiration from jazz and funk tho. Genres are not definitive tho and you can just enjoy the music you like. There's no need to say that you like jazz or rock, or whatever.
Tight drumming.. REAL nice feel and groove.. not many can do that.. Was a real pleasure to hear you play.. That hi-hat work is sublime.. Actually your snare work is too It's nice you actually listen to the track and react to and feel and accentuate and work it.. you don't dictate or ignore what is going on Wish i was that good with what i do musically! Best wishes from Rolland at Castle Hassall
A good collection of jazz cats playing good vibes and a boost to start a workweek!! Looks like a good session when this was filmed and a good weekend!!
