@@fabiencourtoistapping Fender Red Hot Rod Deville (but now I have a Quilter Tone Block 201 HEAD with DV MArk 2x12 CAB). Yes, Strandberg made 8 string guitar 😉

Thanks!! The complete rig can be found below in description. However the amp is a tube Fender Deville while the strings are Dogal Carbon Steel 0.10 - 0.46. The guitar is fabulous and I highly recommend it !! 👍🏻

@@francescolandi70 Thank you! I have a Dangelico Excell SS that I have been playing for a while, and have been loving. My most pressing question when considering this guitar is if it's different enough from an ES 335 style guitar to justify the purchase. It seems to play like a dream, and it certainly sounds like one. Thanks again!

@@owenfield818 Congratulations, the D'Angelico is a great guitar. As for the Salen, I would say it is different from the Gibson, especially in terms of playability and versatility. Then I have a weakness for headless (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eiVvsslzZeI.html) and now I don't think I can go back to the "traditional" ones 😉✌🏻

I just discovered your channel. Would you please explain your picking technique? It appears you use the edge of your thumb on the down stroke and tip of your index finger on the up stroke. Thank you.

Hi Mark, I actually use the pick and much legato (I like it that way...). No thumb or index finger, nor hybrid picking 😉

domanda superflua: problemi ad adattarsi al manico "strano" delle strandberg? altra domanda: il peso? io suono una tele da 3.5 kg e le spalle si lamentano.

Ciao Vincenzo. Nessun problema, almeno per me, ad adattarmi al manico e/o ai tasti. Solo un adattamento di pochi minuti, poi è come andare in bicicletta. Il peso è una piuma, mi sembra sia sui 2 kg e 4. In confronto la tele è un macigno (le ho avute in contemporanea e, provata due secondi la Strandberg, non tolleri più pesi “importanti” dopo…)
