Great series idea. It will definitely generate more conversations on the topics. To me, EDC is about trying to put together the most useful tool set with the minimum amount of space taken up. I know that many, if not most, switch out their gear regularly. But for me I'm trying to narrow down what I will use most regularly and only carry those items. Like my pocket knife, for instance, I've been carrying the same one practical ever day for close to a year now and only change if I have a specific task to do. That's my goal in EDC. To find the perfect carry for me. And I know things are always changing in life which will require an adjustment, but that's where the fun of hunting down the mission piece comes into play. Watching and commenting on knife videos keeps me focused on positive things. Keeps me away from politics or negativity. I like being prepared out here on my bike, sometime sleeping outdoors, Then the old style stuff, the old school tools, stuff that has dual purpose. Some Tactical defense but mostly stuff like rescue tools or eating tools Cheers man

Good idea. My EDC for at home is basically my two slotted slip with my Buck Canoe and my Cattleman Cutlery stockman in my pocket. Now when we go out i have that slip with the above nentioned knives, my custom made EDC fixed blade on my belt, Zippo tape measure, pill container with naproxin's in it, CV Life flashlight, note pad with a Zebra pen and my wallet. That is a standard for me. I may throw in an extra pocket knife but not always. You and your family have a wonderful day JB. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

This will shape up to be an excellent series. Community involvement is key, and we have a great community here. To me EDC is the stuff I won't leave home without. Which actually flexes depending on where I'm going. And for days when I don't have to leave the house -- I work from home -- there's a subset for that, too.

Great Idea! It took some time to figure out what EDC gear I should carry. My EDC is trimmed down to fit my needs. At the start, I carried to much and some it never was used, that is how I learned which EDC stuff I need and I don't need.

Great idea. I don't usually say my EDC I say today's carry. I normally include a knife, light and writing implement. MComb. Phone, ear buds, glasses, cane, and comb.

Great idea for a series and good topic question. I like TAFKA Zac In The Wild's definitional question for EDC ... "what does one need to be Prepared for one's day and possibly aid/assist ?" This definitional question means by default ... flexibile, thoughtful, useful, functional, practical, and ability to be shared (or at least derive mutual benefit).

Like it. My EDC is really probably more about what I don't talk about. Always of course try to have a knaf and flashlight, but also minimalist wallet, floss pik, chapstick and mints of some kind. And it goes from there.

This could be an interesting series. My EDC is a very rudimentary set of tools, mainly a knife and flashlight, combined with being proficient in improvised medical skills with common items, like the ability to fashion a tourniquet from a shirt and suitable windlass to stop arterial bleeding or splint a limb with magazines. Things like that. The room being mirrored is messing with me 😂 I look forward to seeing where you take this idea. Thanks for the video, JB.

I'm gonna tell you MY thoughts. I think EDC is a mindset. It's being thoughtful and prepared for yourself and others. It's about being considerate and helpful to others. It's about feeling awesome like McGuyver, and always having an answer for a problem. Really when it comes down to it, it's about Doing Something Kind For Someone.

Couple ideas off the top of my head…. I would like to hear your feelings on pocket clips, the good the bad and the ugly. Second topic would be fixed blades and how they can be carried, neck, scout and how… kydex, belt loop, dangle or even tech lok. What’s your idea?

I like the idea for the series, although I personally may not be of much help. I’m a retired old geezer who spends most of my time puttering around at home, so the whole notion of the “EDC” movement doesn’t mean a lot to me. I carry around a small penknife most of the time, and everything else that might be needed is readily at hand in my garage workshop. However, if this EDC had come along before I retired, I would have probably been all into it. I enjoy seeing what you guys come up with next!

When we do pocket checks I never include my wallet, phone, or my wristwatch/fitbit, but they’re definitely EDC. Nevertheless, this is a a topic well worth exploring.

EDC, It's easy as do re me, ABD, EDC here's what it means to me! sorry, song popped into my head and wouldn't leave..... The question on EDC that I have wrestled with is: Is EDC variable? is it what you actually carry and use everyday OR is it what you prep in planning your day... in other words: is EDC being prepared for as much as possible OR being prepared for what you expect to need that day. as and example, i don't always carry a firearm, but would consider one a part of my edc... What ya think?

I am sure you can pull it off, and you have ran it over and over in your mind. The reward will over shadow the risk or you would have talked yourself out of it, or do you need the assurance from your followers to give approval and ideas which can help make it successful. The content and the execution still has to be entertaining to your listeners, but you have skills for EDC and beyond to make it great! Thanks for who you are and best of luck with this iddea.
