The problem whit a subwoofer is, it can be too much for the nabors when you live in a appartment, even at low subsound i have waken my nabors at the upperffloore, they could feel the vibrations.
@itskimle This model comes with an HDMI cable. If you want to use optical you'd need to purchase one separately. If your TV has an HDMI with ARC support then you shouldn't need to use an optical cable.
@coachcoop8919 It depends on the TV. Some will allow audio to be output through bluetooth as well as the TV speakers, but you generally have to set the option up through the audio menu if it's available. If you purchased your TV from Abt, please send your contact information to youtube@abt.com and we can check to see if it's compatible with this feature.
@lanzsantos_ If your PC has an HDMI or optical connection then you can. This has Bluetooth built in as well, however you will likely experience audio lag so it wouldn't be ideal for gaming or watching movies that way. This one from Creative isn't quite as powerful, but it's designed to work with a PC: www.abt.com/Creative-Labs-Stage-V2-2.1-Soundbar-Subwoofer-51MF8375AA000/p/181194.html
I bought it but i got a Problem. If i Turn PCM to ON in the Audio out Settings there is Good TV watching sound. But if i Watch Netflix or YT its really Bad. On the Other side if i Turn on „Passtrough“ on the Audio is Good in YT and Surround on Netflix, but TV watching Audio is Terrible. What can i do? I use Arc HDMI. And there is no „Automatic Option“ for Audio Out for my TV.
Carl, I have had this sound bar for 10 days. My Vizio died and this was on sale. I love the sound. I am in small room and the only problem I have is that with some movies I play with this sound bar via my 4K Sony blu ray player and my Samsung 4K tv connected to sound bar via HDMI AND ARC is that with some movies I put volume up where I can hear dialogue clearly but when other noise like car crashes, etc it get extremity loud where I have to turn volume down but then I cannot hear dialogue. Called JBL and was told to move from smart sound mode to standard sound mode which I did to quiet down special effects, etc. I did this several times and does not help. Have not seen this complaint from any customers on-line. COULD YOU GIVE FURTHER RECOMMENDATIONS TO RESOLVE. THANK YOU SINCERELY.
@davidflint3367 It's hard to say what might be causing that to happen. If you've already tried turning off the Smart Sound mode and it didn't take care of the problem you may want to try using a different HDMI cable, or even try using an optical cable to see if there's any difference.
Thanks. Will try optical. Do you recommend trying USB connection. Also is this sound bar ready for updates and if so how do you do the updates. My 4K player and Samsung TV are both connected to internet via Wi-Fi. Thanks, Dave.
@davidflint3367 The USB connection will not work for playing back audio from the TV. That is used for updating the soundbar and to play back audio from a USB storage drive. Here is a link to the manual which details how to perform the software update: content.abt.com/documents/100491/OwnersManual_JBLBAR20AIOBLKAM.pdf The instructions are located on page 9.
I do recommend BOSE, not this JBL 2.0 sound bar. Sounds good but I don't like that turns off by itself after 10 minutes of inactivity. Customer service told me that feature cannot be change, its a government compliance. Then, why any other wireless Bluetooth sound system that I owe does not do that?
@@ql5132 thanks for the advice, I went out and purchased a pioneer AV receiver VSX 534 and my existing subs and speakers connected to my Dell ultra small pc, works a treat 😃
Sound quality is pretty similar to those plastics ment for PC and you can get them for 30€. I can´t understand why to buy such as most of TVs have better sound originally. Total waste of money, not just a bit, but total.
Anyone to say this is a good soundbar is a child with money only looking for bass, the most obvious part and of course the looks, maybe brand, perhaps numbers like watts. For them this soundbar is perfect!!
