In this episode we unbox and give our first thoughts on the JBL Charge 5. This device is super portable but does it pack a super punch? Let's find out!
The Charge 5 comes pretty close to being the perfect portable bluetooth speaker. Perfect size, form factor and aesthetics are cool, durable, it dust and water proof, decent size battery, can be use as a power bank if necessary, sounds really good and gets surprisingly loud considering it’s size. Most definitely worth the $130 to $150 it regularly goes for.
I have to agree. This is an item that still gets used on almost a daily basis...without fail on a weekly basis. The sound quality is incredible! After hours and hours of use I can't recommend this thing enough.
im looking at the bbl charge 4 on sale for 89$ with 7500mah battery bank and also looking at the charge 5 on sale for 120$ but unsure how big the battery bank is. because if there is not much difference ill just get the charge 4 and save money. do you know what the charge 5 has?
I've had a few of these, incl the older ones. Currently on sale, $149NZD ($90USD). The Charge 4 had the more useful 3.5mm input - however this sounds much better with the woofer and tweeter setup.
@@roughboy2956 It’s not very loud so you have to crank it up most of the time. This causes the battery not to last long at all. But I was referring to my battery no longer holding a good charge. It lasted about a year before it started dying. Not it hardly holds a charge at all. Waste of money.
@@chadhudson2046 I have had mine for about a week. I will add a warranty. I have read similar comments. Maybe it's of those bad ones, it is impossible to tell. I hope mine isn't. Have you tried the Flip 5 or what other speaker did you get? I had a Flip 5, I loved it. Pawned it🙁
Well, thanks! It was just one of those days ya know? Hair was behaving, didn't look like I had gone four or five rounds with Tyson...I mean I even found a fresh pair of drawers that morning. Life is good!
