Thanks! Great comparison video. Night and day, stereo vs mono. Mono was nice in the late 1800s when stereo didn’t exist. There’s a reason we have two ears: soundstage!
After watching your video I bought another charge 5 for stereo pairing. Both are TL version, blue and camo. There's a difference in loudness and stereo separation is now more prominent.
Thanks for this video, this makes me buying one more jbl charge 5 for stereo and i love this. Good thing is that just set the stereo mode from app once and it will remember when both speakers connected again.
Mind blowing video and the best ever I have seen for Bluetooth speakers! I have got one of these babies and I am getting another one to put them in stereo mode as I can clearly hear the separation! This thing has got awesome bass and I love it. The insides looks pretty awesome too and the way you took out the covers was awesome man! The red and black looks mean and great. You are a frigging GENIUS! Which JBL app did you use for this? Cheers.
Hello there thanks for the video ! I bought mine like 3 weeks ago in a local store at 179 and know this day there at 151$ im kind of tempted to buy another i really use my speakers for movies or music. But not that much but like to have a good audio. Would you buy it?
I updated the latest SW for the speakers as of 240526. And I managed to get them paired in Stereo towards Windows 11. To update to latest SW on both speakers I needed to remove speaker as a BT device and reconnect to the "JBL Portable"-app on my iPhone.
Great video. I just ordered Red from lazada in Thailand. They were out of other colors. I really like the way they look out of the shell. Do you leave yours out? And if so, what about cleaning, dust, etc? Thanks for sharing. WF
@@fishycomics Yh. And the stereo effect depends on how the song was recorded/produced. Some songs do a much better job in instrument separation than others.
Ok, it must be obvious, but is it worth buying a second unit for stereo. Is it a substantial boost in quality of sound? Of course we are looking at good separation. Please go on?
@@mygiguser Yeah. And I now see why JBL is shifting away from making "stereo capable" speakers like the flip 4, cuz you don't really get that stereo effect when the stereo sound is coming from a single source. It needs to be separated (as in from 2 different speakers).
You can better results pairing it with the cheaper JBL Clip 4. Two Charge 5s are probably too much bass. By pairing it with the Clip 4 you get better treble sounds to balance the bass in the Charge 5 and it's still stereo sound
Nice video stereo vs mono was very distinct. I wonder, however is it better to get two charge 5s or one extreme 3 because the extreme is less than double the price and has dual tweeters and radiators and more combined watts (80w 2 x charge 5 Vs 100w extreme 3)
@@Scarrrz I already anticipated that and made the purchase over the holidays. They sound amazing together. It's definitely useful being able position them anywhere. The only snag is party doesn't seem to work with other devices I have other my tablet phone and Alexa. I wanted Bluetooth stereo on my TV, projector and Switch but couldn't get it to work. Also eq is disabled in party to ensure better synchronization.
@@christopherbunbury2156 I don't actually have 2 myself, but I have watched comparison videos, and 100% of everyone said that 2 of them sound incredible. How much louder is the volume just at 50% compared with just one?
That depends on your environment. If there are a lot of WiFi, Bluetooth, and similar devices running in the area, then it doesn't work far apart, but in the country in a field it goes much further.
@@mygiguser how about 1 meter apart?...cause I have 2 mifa A10 plus bluetooth speaker and I used TWS for my 2 mifa speaker but it only connect in just 1ft distance,
Pair them with the phone app, turn stereo on, then unpair the phone, and then pair them to the computer. At that point the should keep the stereo mode.
I'm thinking about getting another charge 5 to pair in stereo and have my partybox 100 for extra low end. For now, i have pb100 and chrg5 and sounds nice!👍
That's not going to work. You can only pair two of the same kind for stereo, any additional speaker added will switch the hole array to party without any stereo effect!
@@mygiguser i know. I just order another JBL charge 5 in camo. Going to pick it up and see how it sounds with my little setup, lol. I might pick up another pb100 but that would be overkill.
@@mygiguser These 2 speakers in stereo mode sound fantastic!!👍 My Jazz music sounds clean, crisp and detailed. When I want to listen to electronic music, I merge my PB100 with them and it envelopes the sound with heavy low end. Awesome!
@jessa.3857 so I thought that you could only pair 2 of the same speakers to get stereo. However I have the flip 6 and the jbl charge 5 and found that if you pair them together by pressing without the app and then go into the app once they've been paired, IT LETS YOU DO STEREO!!! I was literally about to order another charger 5 to get stereo but there's no need now, I'm so happy I get to save money. But the sound is amazing now
How do i know which one is left and right?? JBL app Is so cumbersome and works only from time to time and since the release of ios 16 no longer works... So, do I have to use the app and go through the whole process every time I want to listen in stereo with my 2 Charge 5s ? I just bought 2 grey Charge 5s and I purely don't know which one is which...
Hello again, surely there must be a way to play three Charge 5 Speakers “Left - Centre - Right” in Stereo mode. I’m 79 now and when I was a child my father was building sound systems and take them to wedding ceremonies. I love the sound of that JBL Charge 5 Speakers, but in Stereo mode. I hope JBL are watching this and come up with a Design Change in the “app” software and allow three Speakers to play in Stereo mode.
@@mygiguser if may i ask you one more question sir . Which one is better/ stronger or which one do you prefer/suggest - Two charge 5 stereo mode or one extreme
@@mihailpopov17222 charge 5 would be better with one charge 5 is close in volume and with 2 they would sound like one speaker with 2 sides. It’s also newer than the extreme 3
I have one and wow the thing is so powerful being honest tho I have a flip 5 and when I connect them some time they drop out of connection do u get that with two charge 5s ???
@@justbraks Hi, that's great news because I have a charge 5 and have a flip 5 on the way, I was sure they could only be used in partyboost mode but if I can get them to play in stereo that's a big bonus.
@@naval003 Yeah! I'm waiting patiently for the Flip 6 slated to arrive later this year, as it's gonna have a lot of improvements (probably Bluetooth 5.1 and a tweeter to assist the subwoofer for more accurate sound decoding)
I only purchased one JBL Charge 5. However I do pair it with my Clip 4 through Bluetooth settings on my phone which is probably better because the Clip 4 will give you clearer treble sound while the Charge 5 will give you the lower sounds and bass. And you still get a true stereo sound
Only 2 speakers of the same type may provide stereo. Only charge5 with charge5, flip5 with flip5 and so on. I have charge5 and flip5 and it cant olay stereo.
