Thanks for the video. I’m solo using a JBL eon one column array (the older discontinued one) and am finding I need more sound in some bigger venues so I’m going to get one of these to supplement in those cases. Was leaning toward JBL to keep the branding consistent but the Bose is intriguing.
Hey Joe thanks for the comment. You may also want to check out the Evers 8. I’ve been using that on a speaker stand and a Bose s1pro tilted up on the ground To fill things out and it’s been working really well. Also, the new Booze S1pro has come out recently so that might be something to check out as well. I hope to be doing a review on that compared to the Eavers eat very soon I just got a order a Bose S1pro plus when I get the money lol.
The JBL bass response is much better than the Bose at 35 Hz. In fact it's the best of any 8" battery pa. If you use the 6 band channel eqs and the 8 band global eq the sound is easily as good if not a bit better than the Bose. Both are very good but set up properly (you can store settings) the JBL has the edge and is cheaper too with a 7 year warranty. The party mode is great too.
I own two Bose S1 Pro and have no issue using the Bose connect app to do the stereo link. I play my backing tracks to both speakers and the use the two channels on each Bose S1 Pro to add two guitars and two mics. I have an iphone12 with the latest iOS with zero connection issues..
I'm playing acoustic guitar and sing, using microphone for guitar not pick up. I need to upgrade my amp, do you have any suggestion? Playing only for friends and family in small space.
Still like that S1 better then tje JBL? I`m thinking about getting a battery powered for my trio, and really need the bass to sound good. Any recomendations?
My answer may be late, but anyway. Ich you need serious bass none of the compact PAs will do the job. Get a JBL Eon One Mk2 - this packs real punch. I own both, the OneMk2 and the Compact. When we want to run the bass through the PA or bring a stage piano we have the big One too. BTW it took me several software updates to like the JBL compact. Forget about the "compact"-App. Its laggy, ustable, making ist almost totally useless - except to get the latest firmware update installed. Then to switch for the "Pro" app. The latest version of the Pro-App works with the Eon Compact and is so much better.
Yes I’ve been using one for a while now. I like it better than the Bose lately. I like to set the everse on the stand and tilt the Bose up on the ground in front of the stand. They sound good together but if I had to pick one I use the Everse. It’s bit mellower sounding, less harsh
Yeah i found the knobs impossible to use in sunlight which on its own was a deal breaker. I definitely wanna try the EV everse that was mentioned in another comment.
