The Flip 4 is the best speaker in the JBL Flip line-up till date, without any doubt. I got mine in India for $91 in November 2019 but the price went up to $110 after that and has pretty much remained there. You may ask why and the reason is, the Flip 5 is not better. The Flip 4 has brighter sound and a very tight bass and mids. It also has 2 active drivers and a 3.5 aux output, the latter essential for watching video without lag / latency. I also love my blue as my friend loves his red and others their different hues. This speaker is a perfect blend of sound, portability, style and ruggedness. It has an IPX7 rating and it lives up to it. The price at $100 is very fair all considered. And if you can by any chance place it in a corner, it blows the lid off far larger speakers! This is a speaker you will fall in love with and never tire of!! 10/10, 5*

The low frequency mode is just for... Funn. Because you can't get real low bass from such a small space. I think everything lower than 55hz can the box not play ore just distorted.

RemageTV As long as you do 60% or below, It won't really do any harm. If you wanna go higher, It may harm the drivers and/or break the passive radiators depending on the song, But the least I've ever done was 80%, and you can see and hear the passive radiators bottoming out and popping?

this isn't low frequency mode, it just deactivate DSP and crossover, so it will sound terrible because there is no more bass compensation for this tiny enclosurz

There's no such thing as “low frequency mode”. That mode you're using is a debug mode made for JBL to diagnose any issues with it. Listening to music with debug mode active can potentially cause damage
