the ridiculous thing about it is that they released the encore few months after the essential, and now so many distributers mix up these models like theyre selling only the essential

The jbl app has two options - party mode (mono) and stereo. if you connect different speaker models, 110 and encore, for example, you can't select true stereo mode. and now the question is - if you open the application, will the real stereo function be active? because you connected two different models of speakers.

As long as the sound quality isn't worse than the essential I don't mind paying extra because the battery on the essential is absolutely horrendous.

They fix the problem in TWS mode, so that the voice come on both speaker? On the 710 is still no update available, so I had to wire it with a splitter.

This is how you identify them with the lights the one on the left has on top longer light strips and the one on your right has 1 little one for me the best one is on the left longer battery life and louder

@Josh Hill How long does it play around 90% / max volume, I wanna buy two JBL Encores or essential encores. I heard the essential has better and deeper bass.

@@elyad67 with 80 % max. volume and lights on an bass bost 1 it will play only 1 Hour an 45 Minutes, then you have to charge

@@techderaudios but the encore have no 3,5mm plug in for other mics, you can only use 1 mic at the same time with one unit. the encoe ess you can use 2x wireless mics with the jbl dongle an wirless microphone Set using the 3,5 mm microphon input

The Encore has twice the battery life of the Encore Essential and comes with a pair of wireless microphones. That's it.

@@0525ohhwell no, the encore comes with one wireless microphone and you can use only one mic at the same time. he encoure ess offers a 3,5mm plug in microphone port. and JBL offers Wireless Microphone Set with 2 Mics and 1 x 3,5 mm dongle (99 Dollars). You can use 2 wireless Microphones simultanous with the dongle over 1 Encore Ess unit. The Encore support only 1 wireless Mic with one unit.

I want to buy the new Encore version, and I’m a little bit uncertain. 2- It looks like Encore Essential has the mic port and Encore doesn’t. I would like to plug the guitar in it when I buy my Encore speaker, but it looks like it won’t work on that new version. Is that true?

Only with specific Partybox speakers, which are the newer, second gen. speakers. So the Encore will pair in party mode with say the Partybox 110, but not the Partybox 100. Hope this helps.

JBL encore has more LED effects, battery capacity and karaoke options. And the package also includes a microphone. I bought JBL encore essential because karaoke is unnecessary for me and the LED effects suit me. Although the battery is weaker than on the JBL encore, it doesn't matter.
