Yeah, I mean this speaker would be best suited for a very large, open conference style room or outdoor party. In my house, which is 3 levels (basement, main floor and upstairs), the Ultimate in the basement vibrates the floor and stuff on desks or dressers 2 floors up on the upstairs bedrooms at just 60% volume. 🤪

Persoally, I really like the 710 lights. I couldn't say if this would be worth it to somebody else. That's a personal choice. I think $1,000 is a good price for sure. I think for the vast majority of people, the 710 would be more than enough. I think if you have one 710 it might be a good idea to consider a second one to run TWS. ☺️

@@JaysStraightUpReviews thanks jay! I had the 710 for a couple of weeks and fell in love with it. The lights were more than enough and the sound was incredible. Paying $1000 is a lot of money, but if I do, I’m expecting the difference to be vast. I’ll probably just stick with the 710

If you have a 710 already then there is pretty much no point to the Ultimate in my opinion. I don't think you can even wirelessly connect 710 to the Ultimate (correct me if I'm wrong) cause they use different connection protocols. And even if you can connect them or use daisy chain, you still won't get stereo and they will sound very unbalanced together. I just don't recommend it. Always go for two of the same model when using JBL speakers. So again, if you have 710, just get a second one for stereo separation. It makes a huge difference.

@@orhankoula1781 I guess HUGE is a relative term. You can go back and check my 710 videos. Even the one where I did the 710 vs the 310 in my garage, where the 710 was just crushing the bass and made my son come from downstairs to see what was happening. The 710 in my basement is crazy with the bass it puts out. The Ultimate is more of that, but at some point it's just too much. I think outdoors the difference would be more noticeable.

Home system is a whole other LARGE can of worms to dig into. I will say, at least from my experience, it's best to NOT go cheaper on the subwoofers than any other aspect of your home theater system. You can get some decent speakers that won't break the bank and every spring the old model receivers go on clearance as the new ones release. There are a few good subwoofer companies out there such as SVS, HSU, Power Sound Audio and the Monolith subs offered through monoprice.com.

That's why there will eventually be an Ultimate 2. 😉
