I can’t lie… being a fan of the ultimate I still think the 1000 sounds cleaner and louder … maybe not bass wise but the sound is more arraigned

Ultimate can be easily fix by firmware update. Just like what happened to my 710 after the update it was superb!

The ultimate doesn't have a subwoofer on the bottom like the PB1000 does, so the bass is more directional whereas on the partybox1000 the bass sounds fuller because of the downward firing sub

1000 still holds the legacy,ultimate looks cool but i like the light effects of 1000 its still my fav😘

Amazing the Ultimate I have a two JBL 1000 and two JBL 700 but now The Ultimate sound is very involving it

try to connect the ultimate on a PRE amplifier!!!! in a quality good way i mean ... good luck. the 1000 can do that with the rca. how will you connect to a dj mixer with the Ultimate ??? good luck also i hope the next generation ultimate will have that... a XLR or TRS in and out and a trigger connect were also top. and and please JBL build the high compression tweeters back in the next one !!!

i compare Jbl ultimate with my db audio versabox 12, the ultimate has the clear and amazing sound , my db audio versabox 12 is not producing a nice sound but not that bad , and when comparing to the loudness my db audio versabox 12 is more louder than jbl ultimate

I wish Mackie Made ParyBoxes ................they always blew away JBL's, respect for the JBL's they've improved since 1998. Dj since 1983 never owned JBL's they never gave me the itch, I was so disappointed with their Dj Line .............. at least their better than Behringer Speakers

I have the 1000 and I love it, but dang the lights on the ultimate are gorgeous! Sound quality wise, I think both are pretty good and very comparable, so I am keeping my 1000.

The 1000 have better bass until 50% when is over 50% volume the bass isn’t that much good but on ultimate the bass is still getting better when you have over 50% volume
