How is the battery life? Does the battery become weaker and weaker from time to time?

Would be interested to know your impression of the clarity of the highs, bass punch, and loudness compared to the current Charge 3. Do you think the Charge 3 excels in any ways other than expected run time over this new Pulse 3? I thought the clarity of the highs could have been better on the Charge 3 but I liked everything else about it. What do you think?

On a beach holiday? So are you going to sit at the beach looking at the lightshow which will barely be noticeable under the sun? This speaker is better off with indoors use, otherwise I wouldn't really see why you'd buy this having the Flip 4 or Charge 3 for superb outdoors use.

Yeah, flip 4 is also great but, This speaker's are designed for JBL fans who love Dark DJ party, swimming, keeping it aside in dark with some bright colours

the lights suck. its like they keep putting more gaussian blur on the lights and they are the same semi unresponsive "sound vibration" lights as the pulse 2. i opened my pulse 2 up because it got dirty and the only thing making it "waterproof" is basically a paper diaper wrapped around the inside (which ironically causes this blur of the LCDs) it absorbs whatever gets on it so dont get it anywhere near coffee. however this product may not have that problem because it appears to be plastic covered that said the sound is great. i just want to see a crystal clear LCD display that isn't vibration operated but rather a very responsive animation from an equalizer wavelength

WhatGear Use a pair of good binaural microphones, place the speaker in front of you, play different tracks and switch between this speaker and a second or third speaker for comparison. We viewers can put on our headphones and get a fairly good impression on how these products sound IRL. Check the channel of Clavinetjunkie to sea and hear how this works.

Wuppie62 Agreed 100%... it's not even worth reviewing any speaker without giving a soundtest and comparison against other speakers. Clavinetjunkie is the best example of a true demonstration on how to review speakers on RU-vid.

+TrillionaireHD you can customize the lights with the connect + app. I visually the lights look nicer now to! However there is nothing to stop you buying the older model.

The lights area is almost the same size as on the pulse two, the pulse 3 got bigger and basically the top bezel got moved to the bottom

abgehauen Yes. I want to play music on two speakers in sync. Because the JBL pulse 3 won't sync with my Pulse 2, it would be in my interest to just get another Pulse 2. Although, if the Pulse 3 is exponentially better than a Pulse 2, than I'll just get a Pulse 3. A comparison detailing the differences would help me a lot with this decision.

I dont know if this is similiar in america but in germany the jbl pulse 2 is almost nowhere avaible anymore... not on amazon or ebay. To be honestly the jbl pulse 3 is too expensive for me, thats why i asked. Thanks

abgehauen It's a shame that it's scarce in Germany. The Pulse 2 has superb sound and is the life of the party wherever I bring it. It's absolutely worth the price. If you really want to buy one, I suggest ordering one online from elsewhere outside your country.

WhatGear well I'm assuming it was a paid review, you mention the history of the company at the beginning and it sounds like you're reading a script directly written by JBL. Although I love JBL speakers, they are not as great as you make them seem in this. There are cons, which you fail to mention. If you're going to call a video a review, you should actually review it honestly and openly without trying to sell the product to the viewers. Thanks for the reply and I hope this message made sense. We just wanted to see if it was really waterproof no need for that extra review most of us have already watched better reviews we just needed to see some guy cover it in water rather than say it was Water Proof.
