JBL Pulse 4 vs Pulse 3 -The bar is set high- With Quality Sound Sample 

i broke my pulse 3 the day before the pulse 4 was released and i’m still considering buying the pulse 3 again. it’s clearly louder update: i bought the pulse 3 again nd no regrets😤

I have been waiting pulse 4 but maybe i'm going to buy pulse 3, because cheaper price and better sound. Pulse 4 is only more lights but pulse 3 still looks good.

I wish JBL would make a Pulse Boombox.

In my ears and wearing headphones my opinions is : You can clearly notice the bass difference between them , pulse 3 has better bass . But pulse 4 has more clear sound because the speaker is on top . if i had to choose, i would go for pulse 4 . I dont mind losing a little bass because im getting clearer 360 sound and better rgb lighting formation .

The Pulse 4 has boosted highs, but the frequenzy range is less compared to the Pulse 3. an 57mm driver = 12000-14000hz highest. For some people already unnoticeable.

Hi, can you please use the song "it's now or never" more often in your sound battles? It helps a lot to understand the sound difference, because it requires good treble and good bass at the same time. I'd be glad if you'll do this😀

I dont like the pulse 4's off setting idk man i think when the pulse 3 is turned off the pulse 3 has this black screen instead of a blurry white plastic screen behind. That makes the pulse 3 look more professional even when its turned off. Not only that but the pulse 3 has better sound quality and it has speakers at not only the top and bottom sides of the cylinder but also around it, making sounds far better distributed.

Im not a fan of light speakers but this new jbl pulse looks AMAZING.

Nice comparison . Jbl should make a light device that reacts to external sounds and music via built in microphone or vibrations sensor. Most are buying for lights anyway and most have other speakers that sound better.

i love the sharper high from pulse 4 but i don't wanna give up the bass feature from 3 as well damn it's so hard

I know that it says that you can shake the Pulse 4 to sync your light show with one or many pulse 4s, but will they actually sync up completely or will it just go to the same mode as if you scrolled through with the light mode button until you got on the same mode as the original Pulse that you are trying to connect to? For instance, if you were to put 2 or 4 of them right next to each other and you synced the light show, would it actually look like one blob of light going up and down or would the light go up and down at slightly different moments between the connected pulse 4s? Hopefully this question makes sense. Thanks

Thanks, i was waiting for Pulse 4 reviews from weeks. I will stick with my PULSE 3 after watching this video, don't find any notable differences to upgrade my JBL PULSE. please tell us other features (if PULSE 4 have) like Waterproofing, google home etc.

So Pulse 4 is an Improvement over sound because its Cleaner and Brighter than Pulse 3 ... also i noticed some distortions of Treble on the Pulse 3.. so Yeah.. quite surprised why some people didn't noticed it

The Pulse 3 is better looking in my opinion, not a fan of the black bars of the Pulse 4 even tho the whole speaker is a lamp.

Thanks for another great review! Although it looks good, it still doesn't warrant buying the Pulse 4, if you have, and like your Pulse 3! The virtually incompatible Party connection, with the older speakers, is a minus, until they come out with the next wave of compatible speakers!

Pulse 3 should be compared to the ue boom 3 or megaboom 3. Such a beautiful speaker. Not surprised that there isnt any bass.

What a great review, i like what you include and how you do your sound tests. I would have just appreciated at least 1 hip hop or rap song. Im a bass head and would've liked to hear a song like Chase The Money by E-40 to hear the bass on both. Otherwise, great video!

I had purchased 2 pulse 3s a few months ago. I ended up returning them because they wouldn't stay connected together. After a couple mins they'll disconnect or sound as if the music skipped. This this paired up and when connected to my charge 4 and boombox as well. Has anyone had this problem? Did i just have faulty speakers?

Last year the JBL Pulse 3 was on sale on Bestbuy for like $139 & $129 for the black.

Imho the p4 has alot of room for improvement both in looks and in substance. The black edge, the connectors being at an awful place, the single driver and single reflector, even the lightshow is dull looking at it through that dark edge. The mids and highs are better but that can be irritating in most songs adding hissing. 3 drivers with 2x double bass transducers and 2x double bass relectors places the p3 as a different animal but have to admit in some cases p4 sounded better, amazing sound enginnering. Waiting for the p5 before retiring my p3.

Pulse 3 sounds better I think. But the Pulse 4 looks so damn good! Sound on the Pulse 4 is a bit too bright for my tastes. Either way I'm sticking with my Pulse 3.

Personally I don't like at all the new design, the lights and sound in pulse 4 are good but I don't think that's enough evolution coming of the 3. Considering quality and price I might go for pulse 3 now.

Imma be honest the pulse 2 and 3 look much more elegant. The 2 is very utilitarian whereas the 3 kinda just has an elegant vibe with that bottom mesh.

yea i prefer pulse 3 i think pulse 4 only has one driver on the top whereas pulse 3 has 3 drivers which makes it more clearer sound.

I think the JBL Pulse 4 lights is not fully glow to the top of the speaker, I saw video people open their pulse 3 and pulse 4, the length of the led strip of both if these are nearly the same, but pulse 4 is shorter and it has plastic thing that absorb some light at the top to make it glow a little bit to the top, maybe pulse 5 can fix that by using some mirror reflecting system to maintain the full glowing effect of the entire pulse body, nice review, still thinking to get either one of these, lights or sound,,,,, personally an audiophile and a violinist, also got a xtreme 1 and xb30.
