I couldn't connect my JBL Charge 3 to my Mac for a few month. Have tried everything. There was no update for my JBL Charge 3 like on the video in this App BUT , i changed Play/Pause to Voice Chat Assistance and back and it's working know! Incredible, thank you man!👏👏👏
HELP HELP HELP HEY COMMUNITY, so actually I checked that before and there was no update to do because my JBL FLIP 4 was already up to date. ANYWAYS it is still not working, but it seems like its not my MBP's fault is has something to do with the speaker. I dont know if anyone has same problem but IF SO try to hardreset your bluetooth speaker. (its the + and the bluetooth button hold for like 13 seconds) anyways I tried it all nothing works for me.. is it maybe because its the MBP16" ? I hope there will be an update from JBL to fix that issue.. my JBL Charge 3 connects right away.. no problem.. shiii HELP HELP HELP
Monterey 12.1, Play/Pause to Voice assistant, then back to Play/Pause, as shown here seems to be what made the FLIP 4 visible in Sound > Output. Thanks so much Paravuth.
not helped at all! Same after the upgrade as before. No JBL Spaker in my Audio Tab! I have the charge 3, MBP Mid 2010 and Catalina. upgrade was done with Android Edge 7 JBL Connect App . It still disconnects after a couple of seconds the Bluetooth connection...
updating the app from my phone doesn't work: it connects to the bluetooth, but the jbl speaker doesn't come out among the sound output options...any other suggestions I can try? tx
DUDE! You win the gold medal! I tried a bunch of different things but YOU, Sir, actually fixed it. I never did think about updating the firmware. Shame on me. Anyway, thank you so much!
I just try it and it had a pending update. Updated it and forgot device in the Mac settings > paired it back and in sounds settings it show now the option to select output audio to the JBL which was not there before.
Hi guys , just install the app and try to connect the app and your JBL model , after that just change option to voice chat assistant . After that just shut down your bluetooth from mac and from JBL speaker .. Back it again on mac and you will have option Source to choose JBL device . That is worked in mine case , im glad if i helped someone .. Best regards :)

It worked! I had trouble with connecting the phone to the speakers via the app. I just turned off and then on the speakers and it connected instantly. Just in case someone here is having trouble with the JBL app connection. @Paravuth thanks a bunch man!

My MacBook and my iPhone were both connected to my Harman/Kardon bluetooth speaker. I just disabled bluetooth on my iPhone and then my MacBook was able to play through the bluetooth speaker.
Hi, I followed all the steps to a T, the upgrade went via and everything yet I still cannot get sound via the bluetooth speaker? The computer tells me it connects however it then goes back off by itself and does not work. The speaker plays fine w/my I phone. Do u have any ideas or suggestions @ this point ? Steve
@@ParavuthTT yes, I tried it a 2nd time, on the 2nd time it did a firmware update, unfortunately same result though. It shows connected for like 10 seconds and then not connected for 10 seconds the pattern keeps repeating, I know strange huh, if there is 1 person that would run into something like that, it's me (lol)
1 thing I just noticed that may help t/s the issue is after I connect the JBL to my Mac when I click on out put sound the JBL does not show up like it did in your demo. Any ideas ?
ok another thing I just noticed is when I try to connect the JBL to the blue tooth I get a message saying the JBL does not have the necessary services? hmmm interesting because it plays fine w.my iPhone but maybe it will not work w/a MacBook Pro or a lapttop? I really don't know.
So sorry but it didn't bring the sound back to my JBL nor does the JBL Charge 3 show up in the list of output devices. The JBL Charge 3 works fine on my iPhone but no sound from my Macbook. Everything was working fine before upgrading to MacOS Monterey! arrrrrgh
It seemed with JBL Connect app, all i did was change the name of the speaker (JBLCharge4), then re-link to my MacBook and it worked.....??? doesn't make sense, but thankyou!
did all the steps but still my JBL Flip 4 won't appear as an output device. It works if I use a cord but if I connect it using Bluetooth, no sound coming out from my MacBook Air
How about for a different bluetooth speaker? I have a Nixon one that will not connect. There is not a Nixon app in the App Store for setting up the speaker
Thank you this video solved my problem of pulse 3 on my MBP. For those who upgraded firmware and still not working, try to forget previous paired speaker on your Mac and re-pair again. It was how it solved my problem.

I have muffled audio like 10 seconds after sound plays from my MacBook to my JBL Charge 3. There’s no upgrade showing up in the App. Any other solution?

This video SOLVED the connectivity issue bw my Macbook Pro and Flip 5. Looks like my Flip 5 needed a software update. Didn't even know that was a thing. Works great now. Thank you SO MUCH, Paravuth!
Im not even going to lie, but I honestly was having trouble with the sound not working on my HK speaker! I was constantly turning off my laptop's bluetooth, switching off the speaker. Then I decide, why not try youtube... broooo i kid you not, i play the video and 13 secs into the video, my musics blasting through the speaker before i can even begin to follow instructions! hahahah bro thank you tho!!!
