The fact the battery is replaceable and can used while "plugged in" to me, are the most amazing features. I have the Soundcore Boom Plus and I love this speaker but I hate the fact it is a disposable speaker but this will take care of that problem. Thank you JBL! Uncle Flossy I did an experiment and I highly recommend it to you! I was in a flight and had my QC II for noise cancelling purposes, then I put my Anker Q45 on top of it so double ANC! The result were unreal and I couldn't hear ANYTHING! I HIGHLY suggest you make a video for this experiment to make the ultimate ANC video

I bought my charge 5 on your recommendation and I loved it ever since this is a strong candidate for an upgrade since A) you recommended it and B) it sounds soooo clear and crisp if I do get it shout out to you floss as always it's been years and I always appreciate your honesty and integrity

I thought the Boombox base was a bit hollow sounding. The Extreme 4 had the most balanced acoustics in my opinion.

I've been stalking this channel for a few weeks waiting for this review!

I could tell thru video the referb on the extreme 3 was noticable, where the extreme 4 sounded crisper in vocals. Also sounds crisper in vocals then the UE... JBL did it again!

I still have the original xtreme! Replaced the battery on it recently and still works like a champ

Have the Xtreme 1 and 2 and honestly this sounds the same as them..same loudness same amount of bass.bit dissapointed expected more from a 2024 jbl speaker..but i still love jbl forever

Ive hade my Xtreme 3 for 2 years, my "L" on the JBL logo starting to peel off, and my shoulder strap clamp broke, I just carry it by hand now lol but it still sound Amazing, I use it heavily, throw it on my forklift, and jam hard on weekends. JBL has the best portable speakers on earth. I can't find one thing wrong with it.

great. this is how it should be.a dead battery shouldn't mean you need to get rid of your electronic device. the EU directive for replacement batteries was a great step forward for consumer electronics.

I miss the times when all speakers were fully waterproof ive had 2 gen 1 boomboxes for almost 5 years and i fully submerge them in water every once in a while just to flex

@FlossyCarter with every feature you showcase on this speaker the more and more I know: listening to your video on my Charge 5s would sound oh so much better with Extremes. I think its a must at this point. You persuaded me into jumping on the WH1000-XM3 before it took off in popularity [and price]. Considering how amazing 2 Charge 5s are, even at full volume, a pair of Extreme 4 is a must. Love your vids btw, always a stellar presentation!

I have a partybox 310 and I really might just sell it and buy this speaker and a partybox 320. The removable batteries are a nice addition to both! I also really need a more portable speaker because I can't really take a partybox when I go tubing hahah! Great video as always Flossy!

On the jbl xtreme series, jbl did something I didn't like if you ask me! With each new firmware update, the sound quality could change and it didn't always improve, but since people focused a lot on BASS, it was often the ones they got in each update. You never got an equalizer that you could adjust since it then goes beyond the sale of newer xtrem speakers. Extrem 2 and 3 and 4 was ONLY a firmware update! Xtreme 2 could have been as good as 3 if JBL had updated the firmware and adjusted the eq. correct! The Xtreme 1 does not have as good a tweeter as the 2 and 3 have.

Man floss is on a role posting vids love it. Now I do say jbl speakers have some the best bass of any speaker cause I used to have a jbl flip 3 and it has some great bass and great sound I had to get rid of it cause the battery was horrible unfortunately. I currently use the beats pill plus and floss your the man love your vids.

I like the new line of speakers so much I am trying to sell all my older models and upgrade to the latest and greatest. But you know JBL will throw out some new kind of connection protocol to make this line obsolete. The little rubber grips on the carrying strap are going to wear out just like they did on the Clip 4.

Just picked this one up for $245 (with all my discounts applied - (229 Euros as I'm in Central Europe) - Can't complain 😄😎 Turned out to be only $10 / 10 Euro's more than the Xtreme 3 so I think I did quite well here 👌🏾 Was gonna get a Charge 5 (which has a really good sound btw) but after listening to this Xtreme 4 straight after, it just took things to another level!!! I planned to take a bluetooth speaker with me on my upcoming beach holiday and really wanted something small but with good sound quality (i.e. Charge 5). But after hearing this Xtreme I had to totally recalibrate my thought process!! Ultimately I'd love bring my B&O Beolit 15 with me, but it's not sand or waterproof. In the end I decided: 1. It's worth packing less clothes in my luggage to accommodate this monster 😜 2. I'll play nothing but head-nodding music through this thing so I can offset the serious neck-ache I'll get from lugging it around 😩 💪🏾 3. The sound is worth the extra cash I think somehow, if I did get the Charge 5 I'll always have this niggly doubt in the back of my mind of why I didn't get the Xtreme 4 🤔😅 Thanks for the review FC....
