I purchased a JC V1S programmer in order to restore True Tone functionality for an iPhone X without the original screen. When I first went through the steps to regain True Tone, it worked! Then after I disconnected the screen to install the waterproof seal, True Tone went away. I have tried repeating the steps, but True Tone is not coming back! Please help.

Transfer home button SN data won't fix Touch ID problem, however, for some repair or refurbish guys, they need the programmer to re-write the data into the new phone, then if the phone is under some testing software, the new phone won't show so many "xxx maybe damaged". You know some insuring company will sell refurbish phones.

I attempted a screen replacement on iPhone 7. The earpiece speaker stopped working. Would reprogramming the new LCD help with this issue, or is this a completely separate issue on iPhone 7?

The earpiece is separate part that have nothing to do with screen, so possibly the earpiece wasn't connected correctly, or it gets damaged.

As far as we know, nope. First all universal home button are compatible with iPhone 7-8P, not include 6-6SP. Secondly, JC V1S can only copy data and SN from old button to new button, but still can't jailbreak Touch ID from old button. It concerns about privacy and financial safety, which was encrypted by Apple absolutely 100%.

Hi Chey, it doesn't fix Touch ID unless you go to Apple or its authorized store, and change a new Home button with Touch Data re-write by Apple. The tool can help recover the matching data into the new button, but can't fix Touch ID(Security reason of privacy&financial).

Nope, other home button might support other button functions, but to make new home button support Touch ID, the only way to write data in is calibrate it by Apple Store.

Hey, it can't modify battery health. We made test on it, it can be modified on the device, but once install the battery and restart, the iPhone board will resume all the data to it's genuine data.

If I take a battery out of one iPhone X and replace it with a better one out of another iPhone X, (both OEM batteries) will the phone correctly show the charge level? I.E. do these batteries have an authentication module? And if so, can this JC V1S do the required programming? From what I understand, this tool and it's programming/coding is needed for screen replacement to retain True Tone/Face ID. Confused if it also needed when repairing/replacing the vibrator/Taptic.

Hi, about battery, it won't show capacity and battery health if you replace with another battery(Even OEM quality), the only way to show them is remove genuine battery board and install it on new battery. Check this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sjOCID0IN5g.html. This tool can't fix Face ID, bcuz it's about safety issue, which is very serious. It's not necessary to use this tool to replace vibrator, but if read/write data to new vibrator would be better.

No, it's impossible. The fingerprint recognizing(Touch ID) is about privacy&financial security issue, except Apple itself, nobody was allowed, also unable to fix the fingerprint problem.

If you lost genuine battery any more, then the battery warning message will always there. If you lost genuine Face ID module, then Face ID not works no matter which programmer you use. In this case, if you want to fix these problem, the only way is go to Apple to calibrate all data back to genuine data and restore these function back.

Hi Jadeem, the only way you can get your touch ID work again, is find Apple and let them restore your Touch ID data into your new home button(Original home button of course). Because it's about security concern, there is no 3rd party tools can fix Touch ID in the market.

Even the same model phone can only read&write dada, but can't fix Touch ID, don't mention different model. Because Touch ID is about financial safety and privacy, so it is blocked by apple.

If you are reading and writing the iPhone 8 true tone data, it might because your older screen haven't true tone data already, or your new screen doesn't support writing true tone data. Please check your screen quality.

Hey, it might be some possibilities. If the sensor flex(connect with front camera) damaged, the ALS function not work too. And, as far as we know, iPXS support data read&write without genuine screen, but iP11 Pro doesn't. Hope the advice helps.

Hi friend, I don't think it's about true tone, for our experience, it probably the new screen itself has problems. Maybe you can try to power off the phone, re-connect the screen with board and reboot again, see what happens next. If it still has green lines, probably the screen has something damaged.

Yes it will transfer serial number to new battery. If your phone is iPhone X or elder generation, it will show old battery's capacity, if it's Xs or newer generation, it will show "service" or "Repair" on battery health.

No it won't Eduardo, the data was embeded in genuine screen, unless you replace the genuine screen touch module IC and place it on new screen, otherwise it won't fix this problem. Normally I use a original apple battery, put it on the jc v1s, press on copy4item, then I put on a aftermarket battery with ti chip, press on write4item. The battery cycle is empty then. But if I build the new battery in, it has the same capacity as the one I replaced. So If the original has 89%, and I follow the steps I wrote, the new one has 89% too. How can I copy serial etc. and get the capacity to 100%? Thankful for every answer. Cheers

@@storch1442 If you need just revise the aftermarket battery cycle and capacity, then don't copy original battery data and don't write into new battery. Because new battery are mostly 100% capacity, and you can use JC V1S to revise the cycle to 0.

The successful read & write require both end works: read from genuine display(or with true tone other quality screen) or iPhone directly, and the new screen support true tone too. If your screen is original(genuine), it might because new screen don't support true tone, or the operation has something wrong.

Because it's older generation iPhone already, and Apple won't open the Touch ID which involves financial safety and privacy to 3rd party. not possible. Touch ID means password, means security, means privacy, means financial safety.... By now, only Apple can fix Touch ID problem.

About battery, here is our testing record(not a report, because need more cases to test): 1- iOS12.0 - iOS13.3: Read genuine battery data, and write to new battery, "Repair"&"Service" "health" problem solved. 2- iOS13.3 and above: Replace with new battery, there is no "Repair"&"Service&Health" problem.

Even Non-OEM screen supports truetone, but not all Non-OEM screen supports. If you do like truetone function, we suggest you buy high quality screen and confirm with vendor before buy it.

No it doesn work. The Touch ID has its own and exslusive Serial Number that combined with logic board. When you use another original home button, the board won't recgonize it, even with JC V1S programmer, because Apple locked the data that even JC Programmer can't read and write.

@@user-xd8xm8me1y Normally if the home button stops working this means you can't use the home button at all. and sadly cause apple has hardcoded a serial number into the home button the phone checks if it is the real one and if it isn't you can't use the home button at all. This programmer allows you to still be able to use the home button because it replicates the serial number.

For some repair or refurbish guys, they need the programmer to read&write the home button SN into the new phone. Then if the phone is under some testing software, the new phone won't show "Home button maybe damaged". It won't fix Touch ID problem, but help the iPhone recognize the new home button.

My JC V1S arrived today. So when I understand the video correct, copy the lcd data is to use truetone with new lcd. But why I must copy the data from vibration, battery or fingerprint ? What are the differences between copy data and not copy ? Wich sense have it ? Only that the phone thinks the replacement parts are genuine parts.

Hey Eric, if you just need copy screen data to recover truetone, you dont' have to copy data from battery, vibrator etc. This video just showing to you guys how to handle the V1S on different functions.

Hey, it can't modify battery health to 100%. We made test on it, it can be modified on the device, but once install the battery and restart, the iPhone board will resume all the data to it's genuine data.

Hi Mickael, you are right that JC V1S doesn't recover Touch ID(No tools in the market can do this, because Apple prohibit it). About battery, here is our testing record(not a report, because need more cases to test): 1- iOS12.0 - iOS13.3: Read genuine battery data, and write to new battery, "Repair"&"Service" problem solved. 2- iOS13.3 and above: Replace with new battery, there is no "Repair"&"Service" problem. About battery can't power on, please reconnect battery and power on again, even the data(battery use cycle) was erased, the battery should still workable.

I found another way that works. You can directly hook up the old screen to the side board and read the data, then swap to the new screen, and write. I know it worked for sure because true tone is functional on the new screen. Thanks for getting back to me though!

JC V1S is one of the best programmer in the market, to modify battery cycle and capacity data, it works directly for iPhone older than iPhone 11, if above iPhone 11 it requires extra extension board to modify. I got an issues well maybe it doesn't work for me because I don't have a battery installed in my pcid v1s but the problem is when I copy the files and connect the new screen it deletes the files i copied and doesn't let me paste it or write it on the new screen

Hi Jeremy, there are two precondition must be fulfilled to complete true tone recovery: 1- Old screen supports true tone, and has true tone data inside; 2- New screen supports true tone function too; Otherwise even you can read the data, you can't write/paste it into new screen. According to your description, probably the new screen doesn't support true tone function, bro.

@@Elekworld the old screen has true tone it was the original screen from the phone and the new screen when I connect it it delete the copied settings and when I press write it says "error can't write" or something saying can't write true tone i don't remember and maybe if it can't have true tone then that sucks

Yes Dorion, it's feasible. Install any working screen(pre-installed face ID/front camera flex) on iphone, connect to JC V1S, read the system data(default ex-works data). Install face ID/front camera flex to new screen, connect to JC V1S and start wring the system data. Once writing completed, the true tone will be restored. @@scubador Matthew, it can't solve fingerprint scan. Because Apple has bonded every single fingerprint code with iPhone individually, it's one and only. The tools can read and write SN code, but can't read&write fingerprint code. In a word, fingerprint is about security, which Apple won't allow 3rd party tools/person solve this without its permission.

literally it's possible but hard to handle. So better to have genuine engine, otherwise you need genuine genine code and might need try many taptic engines to match them together.

I bet your JC V1S won’t copy the data to a iPhone Xs new battery from the original battery so you can use the health status of the new battery in the iPhone settings as all it will show is the word SERVICE only way round this is a full desoldering & resoldering and spot welding of the ribbon cable from the original battery to the new battery. Maybe I have this wrong can someone comment @ Elekworld, thanks.

With JC V1S upgraded board, it could fix dot projector problem(check link here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5ocQFjf16Ak.html), but can't fix other FACE ID problem, such as front camera damage, infrared camera damage, etc.

Hi Eirik, there are might be many possibilities: 1- the board or board connector was damaged; 2- the genuine or new screen flex connector damaged; 3- the genuine screen already lost its true tone; 4- the new screen doesn't support true ton(minor possibility). We suggest you to make rounds of test to locate the problem.
