The 8250 has been back now for a couple of weeks, so its time she had a work out in the form of our 9 furrow Dowdeswell DP2 plough on some fairly heavy land
Like your videos George and this one extra pleasing as it is a British Made tractor that can hold against the rest. I grew up with John Deere in forties and fifties, worked as engineer for Massey Ferguson Distributor and was an MF Factory approved demonstrator. Self employed AG Engineer for thirty plus years. Have to say that this is one of the best videos so far and will watch it whenever I need to ‘escape’ from the rubbish that goes on in the world. Superb tractor, good plough and so quiet to boot. A.G.Street a well known farmer writer and broadcaster once said “Ploughing is the finest disguise that work can wear”, with an outfit like this he is absolutely right.
Great vid, the same can not be said for the standard of ploughing in this video. I would have been removed from my ploughing duties if i produced a field like that.
Great video and very interesting to see such a large plough being pulled in heavy ground by a tractor that can do 70kph ! (with no visible wheel slip either) Good ad for JCB. Tried to look up the hp but 8250 not mentioned - any ideas?
Thats the plough I used to pull with the D8. Glad to see it's still proving useful. Have you got the tool carriers and flatlift that went with it too ?
chris dee We just brought the plough and tool carrier when you sold the D8, didn't know you also had a flat lift with it, did that go with the D8 to leighton buzzard?
