JCPenney Closing - Butler, PA. Following years of financial struggles, when the virus of 2020 hit, JCPenney's struggles worsened causing them to file for bankruptcy and having to close over 130 stores. This is one of the few stores in Western Pennsylvania that fell victim to the closures. When this store closes, it will leave the Clearview Mall with just Boscov's and Royal King as their main anchors.

I was raised in Butler County but lived in the City of Butler 81-82 real stomping grounds! Natalie's, The Monroe Hotel, Veros and Martins Bar! Lived up the Hill from downtown, down the hill from the Hospital!

Clearview is just a baren wasteland anymore. Same with Pittsburgh Mills. 20 years ago I used to love going through JC Penney to buy shoes with my Dad, stop at that one game store (where Gamestop is now) to buy a tamagotchi, shop in Hills & then hit Alladins Castle arcade to finish it off. Riding the train in the center of the mall during Christmas too🎄 I miss prime Clearview. On a side note, I'm glad you preserved this video. Thank you for that.

That is a nice JCP. Outside of the JCP looks in the mall looks beautiful. The blue paint and that flooring design.

yes, it is open. very poorly stocked and badly maintained so who knows how long it will be around,

JcPenney is the only thing remaining in the Shenango Valley Mall in Hermitage,Pennsylvania. Our Macy's and Sears closed around 2016 or 2017.

The Ron Johnson era home dept looked great with the white fixtures, bright lighting and stained concrete floors then it ends and back to the 80's and 90's tile and dim lighting. The remodels were never finished in the stores.

I wonder why this JCPenney and the one at Pittsburgh Mills decided to remove sections of floor tile to expose the plain (polished) concrete look underneath? It makes a classy department store look more like a Walmart or Home Depot lol.

The beginning brought back memories of my Corsica. Had it from 1993-2000. Saw some little old lady driving it in 2002. That car was a beast back in its day.

I hope yinz ate at the still open Ponderosa! This was another mall from my childhood. And I used to drive a ‘92 white Chevy Corsica (like the Beretta but with 4 doors and a V-6 engine).

Good video! Sad to see Penny's Stores closing up! My mom used to buy a lot of her clothes in there! I had a 1994 Red Chevy Beretta, two door, great car!

I remember the Chevrolet Baretta which a nurse I liked had a Chevrolet Baretta when I lived in Florida from 1988 to 1994. Sucks about JCPENNEY which i can see James Cash Penney looking down seeing his empire crumbling down.

It is very sad to see JCPenney going out of business. This store holds very special memories of me and my family shopping there. They had amazing catalogs that were exciting to look through. Remember that great feeling looking at a new catalog from JCPenney's. This store will be deeply missed.

Nice! Thank you again! I do have to say, I was never really a Penny's fan or a Macey fan, (my wife is and was). But it's it's so sad to see that every time these big companies do their quarterly or semi annually financial reports, they hand pick another batch of closures. Hate to see when Kmart and Sears finally throw in the towel! (my fav stores :( )

Still had a ton of merchandise left unlike the Chapel Hill JCP we filmed a couple months ago, have a feeling they are going to be the next big chain to fall. Awesome video and be safe out there.

@@WallieB26 Ok ill have to go watch it. You will be happy to know that the old friedmans fresh market in saxonburg is now a sprankles. its a super nice small town grocery store and they have really gotten involved with the town of saxonburg.
