How does a John Deere 6190 compare against a Fendt 724 on the same plough in the same field? Check out my new Facebook channel, check it out for updates! / george-saunders-photog...
This harvest I'm moving from jd over to fendt was dreading it but after watching your videos feel much easier now cheers fella great vids... keep em coming.
Well now, very well done video. The drone is excellent, picture is very clear, whilst I am getting used to the accent the closed captioning is very helpful. I heard you say you will used more Facebook. We no longer have a Facebook Account. We found too many issues with that community. We will miss seeing your videos.
George will still put the videos up here on RU-vid, it's just that he want's to be able to give updates and photo's of what he's up to throughout the week and so you will be able to see those at George Saunders Photography on Facebook.
What tractor do you prefer more a new Fendt of a new Deere? You should actually look at a new john deere 6230 or 6250 R to demo, i think you quite like one of those
Hi George, how much does the Fendt 724 tractor cost? Looks smooth. We bought our son a Fendt remote control tractor with a trailer that you can tip via the remote control. Another top nosh video. Thanks for sharing.
George you said you were doing 7.6km in the John Deere but the wheel slip wasn’t working and you reckon you were getting 20% slip so that means you probably were only going about 6.2km to 6.5km.
Colby P- Yeh fendts are best tractor in my opinion... 828 is a nice bit of kit defo my personal favrioute is the 939 in limited edition black the farm up road from me has one it’s a beauty 😍
As far as I'm aware (and I'm a John Deere man) but the 724 would eat a 828 doing haulage work any day of the week! 828 I'd too heavy considering it's only 40hp more than a 724. 724 has a much better HP/TONNE torque/TONNE ratio than a 828.
Nice video George, drone shots were pretty tasty. As for tractor preference, most tractors today are decent but i think for value for money and fairly good reliablilty New Holland wins that corner. Plus if you want a simple tractor, powershift box, manual spools etc then they can cater or if you want a CVX they can cater for you too. However the resale value its rubbish. John Deere are what you'd expect from them to be honest. Good tractor, bulletproof autoquad/powerquad gearbox, spacious cab and a more comfortable tractor than a New Holland. Also there is a better resale value but if you are buying a second hand tractor, you could easily get a bigger HP, better spec New Holland for same money with fewer hrs than a deere. Claas, underrated to be honest. They are great machine, the arions are a nice machine, comfortable, very good gripping however the old model Arions lacked in cab with spools too far away and just not the nicest cab to spend a day. Dearer than New Holland when new, resale value is terrible though. Fendt, getting very popular but they are seriously overrated from owner's point of view. They are expensive initially, then the running costs are extremely high as you cannot put a spanner on them yourself and they eat vario boxes at £10000 a pop. Not the bulletproof tractor everyone assumes because of the price. Obviously, very well specced, lovely cab etc no complaints from drivers POV and they have good resale value. I think for a well rounded machine you'd be after a New Holland or a John Deere, in my opinion.
There's also Ferguson that has the best CVT gearbox (Fendt) mated to the best engine (Sisu). The only part that isn't superb about them is the cab on the 7/6/5000 range but it is still pretty good, at least it's not the nightmare of a cab that New holland uses...
A lot of the reasons the vario boxes break are because the operators. Theres a lot of people who have broken thier gearboxes on thier fendts cus they didnt understand it properly. Not saying thats the only reason they brake though.
Crap resale value on new Holland’s is great for poor folk like me cos I can get a decent tractor for comparatively less than other brands and I just generally like them
Control technology are you sure it boots to 209hp I could be wrong here but I think a representative from John Deere told me that the model number on the bonnet is the boosted hp so basically a 6190R is 170 boosting to 190
It is phasing out slowly but no one can seem to find a similar or better system to keep trash underground where it belongs with doing millions of passes
Interesting as ever George. Despite my dislike of computers on vehicles, I'm starting to like the Fendt. Now, when I was boating with Steve a couple of weeks ago the gulls were flying along in front, didn't seem to have the brain to go to the side to let us pass. Steve said they were from Russia...ours just go to the side. See lots of Herons on the river of course.
The question I always end up asking fendt, John Deere and massey Ferguson drivers. What can their tractor do that a new Holland can't at a fraction of the price. They have a good enough cab and decent road manners. They offer everything you could ever want from a tractor
STI Jackson reliability... Fendts have a lot less break downs then any brand pretty much. Of course there’s a few but overall really well put together tractors but your right they are expensive but they save fuel and repair costs which factor in long term Have a good day ;)
where do i start? A NH has it almost all, but everything is just not well made. I'm not saying the NH is a bad tractor, it just has not those fine details and massive reliability . And then , the price your fendt is worth when you sell it. Makes you happy.
I like the video but this comparisons isn't good. The JD has ~50hp less than the Fendt and you're pulling a 6 furrow plough, of course it will use more fuel.
Neither are a fastrac tho George 😂 unfortunately it’s Fendt all the way for me dont rate the new John deers at all boring tractors... yes fendts are expensive nd probably not the most user friendly tractors but there cracking tractors & worth every penny if u ask me... u get what u pay for same as everything in life.. we have 2 fendts & never had any problems haven’t chewed any varios they pull like hell there good on the road top tractor in my opinion.. personally I think the reason they break varios is rough drivers not understanding how to use them properly
I'm not a fan of either of these tractors. But once again not a fair comparison there mate. Get the same HP rated tractors and then do this. This video means absouluty nothing apart from stating the obvious.
