In the Future perherps in Germany too, when the People lost the last jears to 1939. and will standing brought to the owner Country. God bless you.. I hear a lot of time the Song fron the green Barrett. Lovely hand from Germany and give my message to all from your people. Werner
My son served as a medic in Kandahar, Afghanistan, and I am so proud of him. After that, he finished law school without any student depth and help from Biden. He didn't have to use the color of his skin to finish his education like many of these protestors and Primadonna's. We, all nations, should be proud of these real heroes like my son and ignore snowflakes. Jake, I love you.
On this 80th anniversary of D-day 1944, I'll like to say thank you to all the veterans who have served and currently serving. I thank you for your service, us civilians owe you service members past and present a debt of gratitude that can't be paid. I salute veterans for everything you have done for us and to our country.
My father served in the Army in Vietnam. He was hhc 5 Bat 7th Cavalry 1 Air Cav Div 1966/68 The Garry Owen Brigade. My Father came home a tortured soul. Agent Orange Damaged his brain. He was never at peace until the day he passed away. My mother raised 4 kids during all that. God Bless Them All. From the son of an Air Cav Trooper
Very sad story John . I think deeply about these things so sad war is . As we know it affects thousands plus civilians. I can’t understand politics. Your dad was a man to be proud of ,he did his best . Your memories are golden . God bless you and thousands more on both sides .
I’m so sorry your father’s mind was tortured the rest of his days. God Bless his soul. And all other Service people and their families. God Bless you always. ✝️🙏
I'm sorry to hear that. It breaks my heart, My husband was in the Army at the dispensary in Worms Germany. and had many good friends. And those good friends were sent to Viet Nam. And some never came home.
Both sides were were forced into that terrible and useless war by sick politicians, Agent Orange is just 1 example of stupid decisions, using a "weapon" that damages one's own troops, only friendly fire is crazier and sadder...
My brother that passed away earlier this year at the age of 87 was a Green Beret in the special forces. He was stationed at Fort Bragg North Carolina. He spent 40 years at Fort Bragg. He was a Captain. So proud of him.
So proud of your Green Beret! Always got teary eyed and heavy chest hearing this Green Beret song….I can only imagine them bravely faced the dangers ahead of them for the love of our country and its people… With great respect…🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🫶🏼💕
My uncle's ,my brothers,my father in law and son served in this great military of ours and am proud to be an American. May GOD BLESS all of our men and who serve in all the armed forces of the United States of America . Thank you for your Service.
My son is an active duty Green Beret, to say we are beyond proud is an understatement! He’s the best! So proud of his whole team! They are the very best of the Army! ❤️🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼
We are so fortunate to be able to say this about our precious loved ones who have the heart to love God and country. With Generals like Miley more concerned about gender and sexual preference we need men and women like that which the LORD raised up in your family. I would like to know how they justify people thinking about gender, about sex is able to protect their fellow soldiers? We lived in a day that men thought about God and country. We must get back to that.
Many, many men of the Green Beret, have paid the Ultimate Price for America. These are indeed America's BEST. So many have lost their lives so others will be FREE. These were brave men, fathers, sons, brothers, husbands, uncles and friends, the will never, ever be forgotten. May They All Rest In Eternal Peace.
Loved this song since I was a child! My dad came back from WW2 and Korea, but cancer took him in 1971. I think of him and the other soldiers who have lost their lives. God bless you and keep you in the bosom of God!❤❤
Takes special a person to sacrifice their lives for their country but it takes a more special person to go to the special forces. A true devotion of self, family and love of country. God bless you ALL❤
I am married to a retired Green Beret SGM. It took me years to realize what an honor that he choose me, a Reserve Officer. We met when I was a butter bar and I remember thinking this man thinks I am a moron! He had to give me ride to hotel in Grenada and I am oohhhhhhing and ahhhhing everything around me while he was just looking straight ahead! I love that memory! But, thank God, he saw the spirit in me, and I now realize how strong we both are and how we fit so well together! Joe, NOONE can compare to you, my love!
im a German but i understood you. The tradtion to the own Land i miss in Germany. noPatriots more, in this time, not for the Fu.. Time in the 1939....God bless you
@@wernerplail4939 I,ve heard every version of this ballad! Without a doubt, this is the best version! My oldest brother was a Sgt. in the Green Berets. He was killed in action in 1972. My parents are dead and I have the flag his coffin was wrapped in! Jeff Dusti Shirley, Ma.
I am British and proud of it, but listening to and watching the youtube "The Ballad of The Green Beret", bought me to tears. We are the same as you, our cousins in America, and feel the pain the same for those we have lost. God Bless the Military in the USA & the UK.
Je suis français et je vous respecte énormément....écoutez la chanson de Michel Sardou..si les ricains n etait pas la...ça veut tout dire.,... j' aime votre franchise et direct... vous êtes dans le vrai.......pas de discussion....c est ce qui perd la France
A big hug from a Portuguese Green Beret! We use the same melody in our anthem! Bravery and love for the Fatherland unites us! I am proud to be Green Beret!
Me too so sad what our government has come to today after all these men paid the price !!! That’s why I cry now at 67 to see what our government has become it is truly a crying SHAME !
I love that song. Still brings tears to my eyes. One of my brothers was in Vietnam came back changed. I thank the men and women who have served and fought to keep us safe. God bless you.
I never fail to shed tears every time I hear this song. We should honor these guys and all soldiers both living and gone, for who they are, for what they are and for what they have done for us and our country, every single day, not just on certain days, but every day.
When I was in the 6th grade our music teacher brought the sheet music to school and taught it to us, we all loved it and we would request it every time we had music class. We all knew someone who was serving in Viet Nam during those days. God bless them all.
If all the men and women that fault and died for this country could see what America has turned into; they would be thinking to themselves is this what I fault and died for and be heartbroken..............
i am writing from Australia be proud of all your soldiers and be proud of your country,America shape the world and are the first to help when called upon.Look after them and give them the respect they deserve God bless
My grandfather, my dad, and I all served in the coast guard. Why are our seal not on this video? We served our country proudly. Please consider adding our seal as well. Thanks!
The green Berets are a totally different division... this song was written for soldiers not any other division... we appreciate what the coast guard does but the soliders actual put their life on the line, and coast guard dont go to war
I do agree Roy! Several Green Beret protected me as I served & fought in war. All services should one day be added to a song! We all served! We all had the same Commander in Chief! We all fought & servered for 1 thing...FREEDOM!!! Peace brother!!! SMSGT Troy
Coast wasn't added until later. It was army, air force, navy and the marines. Coast guard was added later not to diminish the work they did. Green beret is the best of all combined
It was always army, navy, marines and air force. Then about ten years ago I saw the 4th of July celebration in Washington and the coast guard was included. My uncle was coast guard during Vietnam. He deserved respect also. He had stories and also was able to belong to VFW Post 821 in Philadelphia which my father was one of the founders.
I don't watch this as often because when I do I get to emotional and can't stop the tears, I cry real tears for all the brothers in arms. All those in America and many other parts of the world who done the same and went through the same Hell. For the many soldiers who thought and those who died and those who didn't make it back home to their loved ones. For the broken families. The pain and horror and hell they went though for their families and for all who was and have been there. They are the real heroes.
I feel the same way.I cant stop the tears when I think about it.I wish all Americans would think this way.God bless all that have served for our great country.God bless the USA.
i hear ya brother.. i couldnt join military cause of height but i tried mailny to make my pappy proud. yeah i was a let down but i still hold his memory with songs like this.. he was seabea but his heart was AMERICAN. plus he also held strong the heart on iwo jima. yeah that was meh pappy.
Semper Fidelis Veli! I am a United States Marine and have know some Green Berets, they deserve respect as do all of those who have served in the military of any country. We all who serve and those who went before us, stand between the darkness and the light in defence of our countrymen and women.
My father was in the Army for 40 years 1912 to 1952. I asked him once, "Dad, couldn't you have made far more money in private practice?" He responded, "Of course I could, but this is where I was needed!" This answer could have been from any veteran. He was my boyhood hero. My mother told me, you made a wonderful choice.
I have bread so many replies to this song. It brings back so many memories, sad ones and joyful ones. I did four tours over there and lost many a friend. After retiring I was able to work with one of the three-letter government agencies, several times I was able to visit Nam and I cried! How can you not cry after hearing this song. My heart goes out to all the loved ones that lost their loved ones. Godspeed! Colonel Wells
It is because of your father and all the other Allied forces in WW2 that we enjoy our freedom today. They must never be forgotten, always cherished and respected.
My father was 1st Cavalry Division...who fought in 3 wars. Song ALWAYS MAKES ME CRY!!!! PROUD TO HAVE BEEN AN ARMY BRAT!!! PROUD TO HAVE HAD A SOLDIER AND A HERO AS MY FATHER!!! ♥️💚❤️
im from German, 56 jears old. But love the us nation and the nation trational . In Germany is the brean always the time to time to 194.... No Patriots and love this Country in this time. I respect and salut for your Army.
Susan Simpson I am Italian, and i seen this video 3 years ago. Today i seen this again, because every time i look it i think of the many soldiers who have lost their lives to serve their country. Really moving
best version I have heard I salute the men that have earned the Green Beret, There are way to many who have no honor or respect for Those of Us Who Have Served. Thankyou!!!
My husband never served, but he lost a surrogate father who died in Vietnam. He died 20 years ago today at the age of 40. He would have loved this song.
Thank you, it broke my heart when many of you returned and there were not bands or parades. I lost many school friends that went to Vietnam. I wore a POW bracelet for one that finally after 18 year was returned in a body bag.
few died for the many, but not very many died for the few. T.hese are great men that died for this great country of ours. God bless America and long live America.
The only time in my whole life my dad shook my hand and said "I'm impressed!!" was when I walked through the front door in dress greens and my Green Beret and Flash on my head. It was the hardest thing I had ever done but it was worth it. It opened up so many doors for me.
I was with the 198 light infantry at chulai Vietnam lz bayonet we were the last of the garallo fighters served 30 years.step on land mine at melai village train to live off natures land train to fight hand to hand we were the brave men of the 198th light infantry. I’m from the uk and I want to say thank you to all the serving and retired personnel from the USA and other Allie countries. Thank you to all the fallen, you did not die in vein, you have made a difference and we will always be great full. It’s a beautiful song.
Met Major General Michael Healey of Green Berets in a graduate program at The University of Chicago. He asked me to be a 1st liuetenant. I said OK. Love this song version. God bless all our vets!!!
⚓️I served aboard ship in the US Navy, but I have such honor for the Green Beret. To those who read this, I salute you, and thank you for being America’s best.🇺🇸
I tweeted a dedication 2 my baby brother Joey who is retired Green Beret, 2 my late brother in law in Special Forces & his son who is now in the FBI & trained with Navy Seals. this brings tears 2 my eyes remembering the treatment our soldier got from traitors like Jane Fonda being able to tear them down.
@@royjones883 Sorry I didnt respond. Did not know that you responded. Was very ill with a lot of complications with open heart surgery. Thank you 4 your service. I admire & RESPECT EVERY1 of our men & women who put their own lives in jeopardy 4 our country. They never talked about it but you could FEEL their command 4 respect by being who they are & were.
@tomtolbert32 treasonous traitors wnether it is hanoi jane or Hillary they will stand be4 the One who respects who our military js. You can see the heart of heroes. They never think or talk THEY JUST DO.
@tomtolbert32 Hollywood is VILE, how any1 who belongs 2 the LORD is able 2 live & work there is difficult 2 understand. But then each of us have our callings. There are people who are celebrities that you feel tainted just being there. That tells me how evil some really are. Many the LORD revealed 2 me & I would not give the time of day 2 them 4 even a second. Becsuse I dont need 2 know what hell is saying or doing. I only listen 2 the LORD. When people sell their soul & turn on Christ. There isnt much they can do 2 get back. Being born into it is 1 thing but leaving Jesus (the Word) & deliberately choose satan is yet another thing. You tramp on the blood of Jesus there is NOTHING left 2 save you. By the time you see what you have done may be 2 late. Thank God that He is judge & not me. I trust Him.
From Sydney, Australia, I give thanks to all those that have worn (and continue to wear) the 'Green Beret', You fought and sacrificed your lives for a common purpose, to ensure the rights and freedoms of those who live in a free democracy are upheld. Thankyou for your service.
I have not served in the military but this song has always meant something special to me for the men and woman that have served in all the branches of the military. Thank you
My brother was also a Green Beret, and I re-listen to this song my heart is moved with respect for him and all the others past and present who showed up and served our country in such a giving and difficult way.
JD Micals, I served 29 years in the military and received the Legion of Marit and two Bronze Stars. On behalf of all those who served "Very Nice Job". While the song is about the Green Beret, I always think of all the Military Services when I hear it. Thank you so much for taking the time to make the tribute. Dwayne
As a US Army Airborne Infantryman Combat Veteran Operation Just Cause and the 1st Gulf War with the 82nd I have the utmost respect for all veterans and all the other spec ops in the other Branches, but I have to say the Green Berets and Delta are my favorite of all. Those guys are tough, smart, and very professional and humble too.
I was in the army in 63 to 65 I remember this song played on Koma in Oklahoma. It was played on all stations because it was patriotic. I wonder if that will ever come back. Thank you J.D.
Koma was a great radio station which we only got at night in ft.collins co. Would listen sunday nights I am a vietnam era navy vet on a aircraft carrier 1967 to 1970. Gulf of tonkin red shirt three trips.
Thank you very much for this superb video honoring the members of all of America's special forces. Here's to every man and woman who serves in the armed forces of the United States of America!
Nice version of the song, My family and I give respect to all free countries fighting men and women. They go without hesitation or question. So those whom are still at home and safe can stay that way. Without knowing the horrors or fears that they will face they go. Total Respect to them all and god bless em.
Ich habe eigentlich mit der Army nichts zutun ich bin Deutsche, aber wenn ich dieses Video sehe muss ich weinen, der Song ist wunderschön. Gott schütze Amerika. 😢
